Hi! My name is Kristy Cliburn. We were thinking about purchasing one of these cabins. Can you please send us the pictures. My email address is ceckac@eatel.net. Thanks for your help! Kristy Cliburn
I don't quite follow what is up with folks. After one phone call, a short discussion, a PDF, and reading all this back and forth on the bulletin board... it's pretty apparent people are buying LOGS that are pre cut for particular assemblage into log homes. Or anything else you'd like to build, I suppose, if you buy enough of them, though the guy cutting them has taken the time to match them up into required quantities for specific sized home. But I also understand the sceptiscim. If the fella (Dan) were to advertise " 101 oak logs in a big pile for $3800" he probably wouldn't get many calls about them. He can't give you pictures of completed home because there aren't any... but... the missing bit is that there HAD go be plans available to work to including dimensional lumber requirements before Dan and Co. started dropping logs all over (the walls go up first, then all the weather treatment, then all the interiors.... ) Dan, you could probably end all the suspicions by first having the dimensional lumber requirements available on request, instead of not wanting to mentiion them... and probably also could have great success selling that lumber as part of a kit to the D-I-Y'ers. About the only thing stopping me from buying kit #2 is exactly those two things... I need to know the recommended roof structure/construction, floor/sub floor, etc. etc. Just a thought. And Anna sounds like a very nice lady. Just for us poor Yankees... could she please talk a little more slowly ggg.
I just purchased the 32x28 (2200sqft) cabin and had it delivered to our property in Crockett, TX.Dan was extremely friendly and fourth comming on all the information that I requested. There was no deposit required. I paid him after unloading and inspecting all the 4"x8" logs and reviewing the large amount of directions, blue prints and diagrams.I have never been more pleased with the price and knowledge that was shared with me.I will send pictures of the logs as I have not built my house yet.All I can say is that if you are looking for a wonderful deal on a log home then you have just found it with Dan.Please send me emails and questions. We are excited about getting our house built in time for my wife having our first child. mrhorton23@gmail.comDan if you are reading this, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR DOING A GREAT JOB AND YOUR HELP!!! P.S. I recommend renting a SkyTrak fork lift from your local construction company. Saved a lot of heavy back work. I used United Rentals and was very happy with delivery and pickup.
