Regarding Haverhill's test: Haverhill states in their FAQ's on the Student Resource webpage that there are between 50 & 55 questions on the test. I timed out on the test without knowing how many questions my test comprised of, but here's the catch: (eg) you correctly answer 40 of 50 questions, that's 80%.... if you correctly answer 40 of 55 questions, that's only 73% (72.72%). I've requested to have a copy of my marked test email to me. Haverhill is a completely disreputable company.
There are a lot of frauds out there and of course Internet allows an easy assess to suckers. I find it inconceivable that all of these comments and replies to Haverhill Staging School scam are not true, but to proof it is something else. So we go with our instinct. That is why these posts are so important.Haverhill, I am sure have a good legal team and they might be following a thin legal line. But nevertheless I feel that as a public we should actually question Home Television for bringing those people into our homes. Here is a school which I will not sign in for any their ‘curses’ and a show from Home Television that is no longer on my watch list.I am glad and thankful to all of you out there for sharing your experiences.Thank you for opening our eyes.Tom
I would love to have the test - post your email address - I will contact you directly. THanks
brandy look up alluring interiors and you will find jacqueline forde not at haverhill by the way were you one of the "best" or did haverhill not hire you either.
I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle, here. Haverhill is selling a course and they have no intention or ability to provide employment. This is obvious. When I emailed Haverhill and was called by a salesperson, it was clear to me after asking a few questions that this was their business. Selling, not hiring. They couldn't answer simple question such as "What real estate companies do you work with in my area?" Or, "How do I get my referrals?" I approached my conversation in a different way than I think most people would. I was suspicious, and I decided to interview THEM, not the other way around. When I read some of these complaints that frankly muddy the water, I shake my head. It doesn't matter how many phone numbers Haverhill has. It doesn't matter how difficult the test is, how many blanks are in the questions, or whether or not you can skip over difficult questions and return to them later. These peiople will sell their course to anyone. Qualified or not. You could be a goat herder in some third world country and they would sell it to you. I think you should do a bit more investigation before you put your money down. There are bad deals out there and you have to take the responsibility to sort the good from the bad. These are tough times, we're all trying to do something to make a buck, but be advised there are "opportunities" out there that are shady. Unfortunately we are too trusting and people like this are ready to take advantage.
I was reading all the comments and i just want to turn your attantion people on small detail.( befor you losing your money) ;)there is MORE dessapoiting people with complaints, than graduate that been hired with company. so make you math, but i know im not inrolling, wanted befor but now i will choose some other school.
e.f., I am Canadian and even though I am not overly happy about the "negative Canadian" comment you made (especially since Canadians are known worldwide for their friendliness and traveling Americans cash in on that by wearing Canadian flags to get better treatment while abroad), all that aside, I am in agreement over this whole Haverhill thing! I started the course last Sept and I was hired last week! It's not a scam it's an amazing company with a bright future! If you are willing to work hard and go the extra mile(there's no free ride with Haverhill, anyone looking for that will and have been weeded out along the way) you have a good chance with this company. I am heading to Toronto for my training in a Feb and I couldn't be happier! I did what they asked(actually went above and beyond a few times) and they hired me like they said they would. End of story.I am using my real name here.
The course material provided by Haverhill is 1 book, many pages of which were dedicated to "how to de-clutter" closets, halls, etc. There is so LITTLE content, I learned nothing from the material - that I hadn't already learned by watching a few staging shows. Please save your money folks. Every employee I talked with at Haverhill, and there were only 3, (I doubt there are many more), none of them were what I would consider "knowledgeable" and the test instructor couldn't answer the multiple choice questions herself. Please see Decorate-Redecorate - Barbara Jennings course. She has offered 50% off her courses to former Haverhill students. I have taken advantage of that offer and am so surprised by the amount of material she provides in her course. I have learned a lot and the course also covers marketing yourself and your business. EXCELLENT course. Please feel free to contact me at wrightathomeinteriors@yahoo.com for more info about Haverhill's scam or Decorate-Redecorate's course. Haverhill and all employees should go to jail for the theft they are committing.
Please stop advertising Haverhill. Because there commercials look so legit and because their company is functional (maybe barely just to continue getting $ from people), they are a complete scam. Since I just got out of an abusive marriage 4 yrs ago and have done extensive research on how to not be a victim, I noticed there tactics right away. They gaslight, which is one of the worst types of abuse. Please their money is VERY VERY dirty. I just joined the course about a month ago and they make it impossible to complete the course on time. This is a setup. Their teachers give blank comments (maybe it's just a computer anyway), and they have absolutely no feedback on assignments. I'm hoping to get my money back and maybe more for the suffering I've endured second guessing myself at first, just like everybody else.
