Hello Natalie, Im doing this course right now and not happy at all! I just got my course marks back and got 33%! I did everything they asked, and then some and had it in on time! but they still flunked me! I was wondering how you got them to refund your money...i want to get out while i still can...thanks so much!
I too received the comment "good job" the 2nd time I did the test and was graded 23 out of 30 over all. I feel I may have missed 1 or 2 of the 56 questions on the test because the questions were vague, I may have interpreted them wrong but I am sure I did not miss enough questions to be scored 23/30. I have found their customer support and teaching techniques poor to say the least; they have not been honoring the agreement they made with me when I signed up for the course mid summer and I have subsequently requested a full refund, this of course will not pay for the time I have wasted participating in this course but atleast would leave me with an opportunity to re-invest the money into a course that would benifit my future. What city are you located in "disapointed student"? I am in montreal and am looking into different possibilities in the region.
Has anyone contacted HGTV? I asked alot of questions at Haverhill before I sent in my money. Susan Green assured me that this was not a scam. I had outright asked her to prove this. She told me that anyone who advertised on HGTV had to go through a rigourous investigation before they were accepted by HGTV as a qualified advertiser. I had checked with BBB also. No results listed. I asked that someone contact me personally that was a successful graduate. I believe it was Jackie who finally returned my call, who assured me she loves working at Haverhill and stages three houses per week. I had my doubts as we all seemed to. I thought I was being a cautious intelligent consumer. I read the fine print. I made calls, I surfed the web for information. I am counting on this new career to keep a roof over my head. This is very serious for me. I sent my last bit of savings to them in hopes I would finally find work in what I am passionate about. I am extremely upset to find these remarks from so many unhappy people. I realize that not everyone will pass the tests, and that alot will find it difficult - this is part of the natural process of elimination. Has anyone out there found this to be 100% legitimate?
You are definately getting paid big by Haverhill, or you are just plain stupid (my opinion)
Jonathan, the 250.00 must be referring to when you order the course and decide not to do it. that is different from when you pass everything and apply and don't get hired. In that case you get a FULL refund. I know many who got a FULL refund
ADVERTISEMENTS – from the Federal Trade Commission website: The appearance of ads in media outlets that you recognize - like your local newspaper or radio station - is no guarantee of the legitimacy of the company behind the ad.me: anyone willing to pay for advertising gets it. NO ONE CHECKS THE LEGITIMACY OF businesses that advertise. YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELF! The only TRUTH in ADVERTISING is if a SCAM business is willing to pay for it – they can get the ad space and rip-people off until someone decides TOO LATE to address it.When they should not be allowed to advertise in the first place!
i am getting very nervous i sent my course work in over two weeks ago and it still has not been recieved. i feel that i have wasted alot of time and energy for nothing. how long did it take for your course work to be grADED
They have to have a few suckers to keep raking in the money and pretending they;re legit. They have to have someone they can call.
