Americans are receiving threatning phone calls from foreigners trying to extort money I believe that this matter should be taken more serious by the goverment they would have the resources to at least get to the root of the calls. But unitl then make these [***] regret they called you. I just gotta phone call today I acted like I didn't knoe English it was hysterical...

claiming I owe money for a loan I know I never had.Would not give me any information about the loan and refused to send me any documentation on the loan. Phone numbers used: 941-961-8518 and 714-598-4242.

Received a call from 941-961-8518 telling me that I had funds electronically transferred I told them this was a scam and don't ever call me again. He asked me to hold on and talk to his supervisor - I hung up.

so this guy started calling me two days ago and about scared the living daylight out of me. i told my family about this and my mother contacted the cops, well they referred her to our houston secret service line and they suggested we just ignore the calls. don't listen to these people they're all scammers, luckily i found this website and learned y'all saved me from losing $$. thanks.

I too had a call from Michael Stevens about 4 weeks ago, I could hardly understand him and when I asked to call him back he gave me the 818 451 4026 # that most of the time rings busy --- I was very very very scared and told them that I did not want anyone to show up at my door to arrest me and what could I do to handle this --- he then transfered me to Jacob Morris who said that if I set up a payment arrangment he would make sure to not let this go to the courthouse and that no one would show up at my door as long as I paid the debt. I told him I would need a few days to call my bank and confirm this payment made to my acount and that it was not paid back to the company --- THIS IS WHEN HE STARTED TO BACK PEDAL AND GET NASTY.... he said I was stupid for not understanding and got all huffy about it.... I hung up, did my research, found NOTHING from my bank about this payment being made into my acount...... next time he called I said that I needed paperwork from him and he refused to send it, just told me he wished my all the luck with this issue. I feel so much better knowing I am not the only one and I am going to call all the recomended #'s and report this as a fraud!

These people seem to be the most unprofessional that you could ever come across and more over they think themselves to be quite highly qualified without even a word of gratitude or respect for no matter whosoever in regards they are in conversation with, but actually, to speak the truth there is not much that you can expect from illiterate crooks like these who are all out to get you for every drop of blood that they can drain out. However, be wise folks, if you know you are to get wet by stepping in the rain than just back up. The base point is "HANG UP" on them else take the call and mute it which may have them frustrated all the more and as a matter of fact there is nothing much they can do besides calling you. Well lets face the truth barking dogs seldom bite.

Thank you so much for posting the Secret Service website. I did call about these phone calls and they told me that they are getting a flood of calls about this particular number. They also reassured me that this is a SCAM and no debt collector would ever say "I wish you good luck if you do not respond." Also - requesting humiliating faxes of apologies, refusal to give you any information of the "debt" is illegal. Please, if you get these calls, follow the above link and call you local Secret Service office or Police Dept. to report them.

It is very irritating when I get a call on my pre-paid cell phone from someone that sounds like they are talkig with a mouth full of marbles.The message left on my voicemail was very hard to understand and sounded like they said I needed to call them right away to take care of bussiness.

i got a call from this number the lady said her name its wright sound hindi- and said that she wanted to hear from my retained attorney. then i called back and spoke a guy named "steve" who was also hindi- and he cursed me out called me names and said why am i calling him and wouldn't give me the name of his company and hung up on me. then i called back and it went straight to what sounded like a fax machine. and the call back # was 8184514035, what the woman left on my vmail.
