YES MINE WAS THE 408 #. THEY HAVE BEEN CALLING MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT AND HARASSING ME AND MY CO-WORKERS. I FEEL STUPID IN FRONT OF THEM FOR BEING SCAMMED NOW I HAVE TO REPORT THEM TO ALL OF THIS OVER AND OVER ? MEAN WHILE THEY ARE STILL CALLING AND THEY DON'T JUST CALL ONCE A DAY IT'S LIKE 20 TIMES IN A HOUR.

i received 2 voice mails screaming i better call back or there was going to be legal actions. Number showing was 941-961-8518(not a working number) but told to call back 408-874-8309 and talk to Jason Smith. Called back they said they were a law firm and wanted to know if i had an attorney because i was going to be served a summons Monday and taken to jail on 3 accounts for $5000 and they were also serving my references. Kept asking for the name of the pay day loan and the contact # and they wouldn't give me a number just said it was national payday services and then they transferred me around. I said i was willing to work out an arrangement to avoid court but they said could not accept anything less than $500(owe $595)said i would see if i could come up with it and would call back. I was really worried especially when the said they would summons my references. They also said tried to contact me 16 times by email but might have gone to spam(red light). Place sounded like a call center not a law firm. Thank you after reading these posts I will not call and give my banking information or make a payment. I was told to call back and ask for Daniel Bush he would post the payment and stop court procedures. With all i'm going through right now this almost seemed legit glad i stepped back and did some research before reacting. i did call secret service in AZ they didn't seem to interested and said it might be legit better check with the payday loan. hope this is truly a scam and i don't get served on Monday
I received a call from these guys. But they used a 661 number, and used the name “Ryan”. They threatened to have me arrested if I didn’t deal with them. They clamed they were from a company called “Cyber Crimes Division” and I was being investigated for “check fraud”. They are extraordinarily persistent and Their English was horrible. They also had a startling amount of information on me, including my name, place of work, address, and the last for of my social security number.
I received a call from this #941-961-8518. They left messages on my cell phone and my work phone. The guy said his name was Douglas Brown and that he was calling from the state attorney's office and that either myself or my attorney needed to call back immediately and that if we didn't, he wished me luck in the case as it unfolds. I had already googled the number and found this site before I even listened to the messages. I tried calling the number back and got a message from verizon stating that number is not in service. Douglas was kind enough to leave me a number to his "division" 714-598-4242. So, I called that number and he answered. He asked what number i had received the message on. I told him that I was going to give him the number and he'd better put it on the list not to call. I told him that I had already researched his "company" and that several people had reported them to the secret service. He asked for my number again. I gave it to him and he asked what the problem was. Once again, I informed him of my research. I said "You are performing an illegal scam. Several people have reported you to the secret service and I am going to also. DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!" He said "ok" and I hung up. We'll see if that worked.
interestingly enough this all has happened since the numerous losses of laptops from bank and certain government officials, could this be connected? also food for thought, no security system of encription for these laptops has been created or in use to keep a thing like this from still happening. so if you think you can trust your personal information to banks or other such institutions, think of, can you trust the person who works there and takes their laptop home where it can be stolen along withh all your information.
This also happened to me last night i got a hold of ryan cruz and he threatened to have me arrested at my work place read off all my information to me but never would tell me where the debit was owed to. Well i don't think he expected to get a hold of me because i'm an ex skip tracer and i know all the fair debit laws and when he couldn't answer my questions anymore because he didn't have a glue as to what i was talking about he then turned and told me he was a monster then begged me to be his friend and to have sex with him! i will be turning these people in and going about every action to secure my information in the future. i don't think they ever expected for me to know more then they did. oh well i'm glad and not glad to know that i'm not the only one they had me scared for all of 3 minutes until i realized how stupid they were.
