I got cashnet myself was told to talk ot there fraud dept they had nothing for me its been well over a month since i left a message for them and still not a call back. so then after thsi guy started calling me again i called cash net once more was told they were going to email the supervisor and have them get back to me lol im still waiting .. find it kinda funny
So I got calls from this same number and the guy said his name was Chris Hanaley, except he said you spell Chris-> Chrois. He was from the law office, luckily he had called yesterday and left a message and I looked the number up on here so when I answered I already knew what he was about, none the less it didnt stop him. I told him to leave me alone that I knew what they were doing and he was waisting my time. He called me 9 times at my work desk with the last four of my social, (not hard to get) I said, ok and your point is? I could not understand him at all, so I told him if he didnt speak English then leave me alone. He called again saying that I would be arrested from my front yard tomorrow, I said " well thats lovely, I will be outside waiting on them, now please stop calling my phone." He started cussing telling me this was bull sh*t over and over, I said sir you are wasting my time, he asked me if I thought that I was wasting his, I said then leave me alone and stop calling me!! My supervisor got on the phone and demanded to have his information, he would not give it to her, he just hung up, I went to review my credit report this morning just incase, nothing there, hopefully it stays that way! Dont give in to these idiots, they are ignorant and if you call the number back... magically it doesnt work!! wow.... imagine that.
i got this type of calls too, and they have you 4 last digit from your social security too and maybe first name and last names from your friends too as references , ask if they have references listed or if they have your social security number and you will surprise all the info they have from you...where they get that , i don't know but , my friend got the same calls and they have my name as reference and her 4 last digit of her social security number too. they are from India or Nigeria, Benin country....this is a new scam go around....report to the FBI , you can do that online too.
We've been getting these calls for about a week. They don't care that this is a hospital they are calling. We have contacted our local PD and the regional FBI. They use the same number and even said they put a bomb in the building. I wish their was some way to stop them. As we are a hospital, our phone system will not allow us to block calls. The regional FBI agent said this was the first he has heard of this in New Mexico. He also said the make a report at www.IC3.gov (an FBI site)that way it would reach more agents.
I rec'd a call from this number and tried calling it back and its a verizon wireless number that has already been disconnected and no longer in service. That was fast they just left a message on my vm to call them back but at different number 661-210-4688. I already know its a scam so no plans on calling that number.
At first it will come up unknown i will never answer unknown calls. Then they called back wit this 941-961-8518 number. They called me 25 times on saturday
These people have called me several times and made threats like going to my employer and having me arrested at my job and having a record. It was very stressful for myself and my family. I did promise to pay at end of month but then I found all these other complaints and know for sure it is a scam. I just wonder what I can do to prevent this from happening again or get them to leave me alone.
I have been getting these calls for months. PLEASE EVERYONE DO NOT LET THESE CROOKS CONVINCE YOU TO PAY THEM!!! I am so relieved to see all these posts and know that I am not alone!!!!!!!!! These guys will call 15 to 20 times in a row some days..they also call under unavailable and unknown numbers..and will also call you at work. They have thick Indian accents and act like they are attorneys. They will say that you made an agreement with a payday loan company and the money was deposited in your account and that you defaulted on the loan by never paying the loan back. They will threaten you in all kinds of ways and will get VERY NASTY IF YOU ARGUE WITH THEM. They will harass you constantly to force you to pay them. There are alot of posts written that have alot of valuable information and agencies to contact. Please report these crooks. And I thank everYone for sharing your story and information!!!!
I first received this call on Friday, 06/19/09 and thought it was a scam but what I found disturbing was they have my home and work numbers, my address and my bank name. They called me at work again today with the same message about having me taken to jail (which location they cannot disclose), etc. same as all the others. I feel better knowing this group is likely in India and it really is a scam. I will make the calls to the Secret Service and FBI though. This will provide the ammunition when they call back. I have already told them my accounts are being monitored.
They have been calling me saying they were from "Financial Accountability Association" and "Federal Legislation of Unsecured Loans". After actually contacting an attorney and telling them to [***] off, I was contacted today but the name of the person has changed to "Jeff Martin". They also changed the name of the company. Otherwise, the story is the same. I have put a freeze on my ssn, changed bank accounts and moved (not because of this; they just have my old address on file). I am this close to changing phone numbers but I don't want to give them the satisfaction. Also, it's very possible this "Jeff Martin" and "Mark Wilson" (the name from the first phone calls) are the same person. They sound alike.
