got a call from 972-497-1400 and was talking and didn;t take the call. I dialed this number later and you can notget through using this number. If it was really SS why couldn't one get an answer to my call? Sounds scammy to me

PS......if this is a legitimate call.....why are there so many people on here trying to defend it? Why are they here at all? Use your brains people. I certainly do look up phone numbers with a Google search for numbers that I know to be legit. There is absolutely no reason for these people to find there way to this site JUST to report it being a legit number. It surprises me how much "logic" is lost on people these days. Think!

I received a call from this number today 6/26/17. I did not answer as I did not recognize the number, I wasn't sure if it was another call trying to sell me another Warranty for my truck; they call me on so many different numbers. Thank You All Above for the Info in reference to this number as I do have a phone interview scheduled with them on the 27th. Again, Thank You Everyone for the Update.

I, too, got a call from this number for the same reason - filling out the supplemental prescription assistance form that I received. They also said for any questions to call Social Security toll free at 800-772-1213,This is legitimate.

This is not SS. SS has never called me once but always send letters. Nor do they send calls out under strange business names. This one had Universal voice on caller ID. I agree with other poster. Those saying it is SS are part of the scam and posting here. Be aware. If you get a call from here do not give info. Call SS if you think you should but give no info Called back and got message that this wireless customer has no voice mail. This can't be SS.

This call was legit. I do have a phone appointment tomorrow with the Social Security Office and this call was a reminder. Thank you.

A legit call from the Social Security Administration. My wife just applied and the automated call informed us we should have received a letter explaining how to get help making payments -- which we had received. I listed for two loops to see if I could acknowledge receiving their call or select "no reminders, please" -- but there was none.

I received a call from this number. Didn't recognize it and let it go to vm. The message was regarding information I received for the additional help from SSD for the insurance benefits I receive. I did receive a notice in the mail to fill out and send back to Medicare about getting the extra help to pay for my meds, etc. ThE message also stated if I had any questions to call social security and the number they left is the actual number for social security.
