I got it too, but I wasn't home so it went straight to voice mail....it was to remind me of my hearing, however, it ended w/ to confirm that the notice of hearing was received press 1, if the notice of hearing was not reived press 2, to hear these options again press 3. they should really leave a call back number!!

It is the service that is used by the Social Security Administration to remind people that they have an appointment the following day, or in two days. It is an automated service, and the only way to stop the call in the 24 hour period when you will be getting the calls, is to pick up the phone, and acknowledge that you have the appointment.

just got the call today, reporting that I have a court hearing (which I don't). Pressed 2 because I didn't receive a notice and they asked me to leave my name and social security number. SOOOO. Scam most likely with a robo-dialer.

I got a call from this number stating I had a hearing for disability in Shreveport La, They asked for my name, number, and ssn. I am on disability with the military, so I figured it was for that, so I submitted my info. I was kind of leary about it so I looked the number up and found this site. Does anyone have any advice?

I just received a call from this number this morning to remind me about my appointment with Social Security the next day. I had also got a call on my home number reminding me of a court date which was supposed to be cancelled.

Received a automated call from 972-497-1400 saying someone at this number had a SSA appointment the following date at 9:05 AM. Very weird, the caller ID said American Voice.

I just got a call from Called Id said American voice 972-497-1400. pretty strange, I hung up the phone jumped online now I am here. I'm glad that there are places like this. You have to wonder WHY SSI says American Voice especially when there are so many people try to steal identities, My first thought was voice theft, I don't know if that is even possible, but it's sad that, that was my first thought. Recv'd phone call on my cell phone of all things. I never hand out my cell phone, the darn thing costs too much to operate. Became angry that some idiot would enter my cell phone number to an automated long distance dialer to expunge my minutes so I hung up.Tried calling the number listed on my cell phone using a land line and no one answers. You get a recording that you probably misdialed, so hang up and try again. Not sure what I will do if it calls back.
