No, it isn't a scam. It was simply a recording to remind me of my appt. They didn't mention my name. Just said someone at my phone number has an appt & it was a reminder. No questions asked.
I had that happen to me to so i told social security about it and they said that wouldn't call me and say something like that over the phone
It is a scam i called the number back it was disconeted but they did leave a message saying i have and appointment the next day bull crap i went down to the ss office and they said it was a scam to get your info don't believe what they say i never had an appointment and the 800# is real and they are probably monering the calls to see what poor sucker falls for it these idiots will try anything beware beware don't believe some write ups say its real the number that called was 9724971400 is no longer in service scam scam
Sounds like the scammers or their paid employees are posting lies that this is a legit number. Vote Republican! They support legalization of all forms of criminality engaged in by donors to republican candidates.
True that all numbers can be spoofed. Some folks may have received legit calls. The SS people will leave a message. No message probably a scam.
Got a a call from this number. Caller ID said "Eland Corporation". Female voice told me to call the SSA 1-800 number. Obviously a scam.
Received call from American Voice 972-497-1400, left a message to call SS at 800-772-1213 regarding a letter I should have received for extra help with prescription drugs (I did) or to go online to SS.gov to respond. Legitimate call, at least this time.
