do not let them ruin your day. they are a collection agency for amex. we are in the process of bankruptcy -- they call anyway (against the law -- all calls are supposed to go our attorney, and they know this). check your state laws on line, find out what you need to do to get them to stop calling -- probably write a letter. don't let them bully you, bully right back (my favorite? act like a child, goo goo ga ga dada, maamaa, lol, pisses THEM off). amex is unsecured credit, they CANNOT garnish your wages, put liens on your home, car, or anything else! they BUY these past due bills from amex for pennies on the dollar!!! everything over what they paid and close to the original debt is GRAVY!! LAUGH AT THEM, PICK UP AND SAY NOTHING -- MY BEST ONE?? answer . . . PIZZA HUT, CARRY OUT OR DELIVERY?? don't give in for ANYTHING!!! keep asking their address, credit card number and what kind of crust they want!!! AGAIN, amex has already slammed your credit, these people can do NOTHING!! it's already been handed over!! you would be giving them money and your credit stays bad, regardless!! DON'T let them get the better of you. they are mean because it makes you give them money. remember, by now, amex is out of it. you give them money and it will not go on your amex bill!! it goes in their pocket because they bought your debt/bill! hang in there, things happen to everyone. sorry you are going through this.

I am paying off a debt monthly to them and yet they keep calling me to say if i dont contact them they will sue, then i send them copies of all the cashed checks and show them i pay them every month, dont hear anything for a while, then it starts all over again... Bunch of morons!

Pay your bills and you would not be getting these calls.

Folks, these guys are definitely liars, but... *I* have never had an AMEX, I do not have credit cards of any kind, I am not in bankruptcy or in a repayment plan, I owe no one money. These guys happened to dial my number andare willing to try to collect anything from anyone foolish enough to pay them. DO NOT PAY THEM! I, personally, filed a complaint with my state Attorney General's complaint dept, which worked for me. Do not feel guilty if you owe someone money! They collect by playing on your emotions. You are entitled to peace and quiet by law and this includes freedom from zombie debt collectors.

Well I can say is that I have been over many many websites! This Zwicker is by far the worst I have ever had to deal with talking to them and reading about what everyone wrote about them. After working with great collectors that understand that people that lose their jobs and money or even something that can change your life. This place does not! You say you make 100k a year SURE who cares, you say you sleep well at night great who cares, so do I. After dealing with Zwicker I sleep fine I shut my ringer off and put on the caller ID. I was $125,000.00 in debt $455k with a house. Things happen and people can't pay the amounts that they owe. But for a place like Zwicker and the lack of people skills that they have and the amount of negative reports about this so called law collection firm or whatever you call it. I hope nothing ever happens to your nice 100k a year job. And remember with out the so called DEADBEATS you [***] would not have a job. And another thing, calling once is ok but do you really think that calling 8 times is a good idea? And really do you think by the 9th call in one day I will pull the money out of my [***] faster. Really come on people your company is really a bunch of people that could not do anything with your lives but make phone calls, look at paperwork and try to be important when you talk to people that don't give a [***] about you. So before you make that 9th call think about it. It might be your job to collect debt but when there is no money you should try being customer friendly and most of the want to be hard [***] are not even lawyers. They say that they work for Zwicker but are just secretaries and try to sound like they have power! And for the one or ones that say you make 100k a year GO LOOK FOR A CLASS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! The way I look at it you’re just a bunch of telemarketers and really need a good look at what you are doing to people’s lives in the long run. So sleep at night and pray that your way of life never changes! Because one day you are making $232k a year and next your working and 7-11 down the street with a side job selling shoes online to put food on your table to eat!

Thanks Jay for your commentary. But, from what I see happened to you when you did pay Zwiker, I wouldn't have paid them at all. I don't want the IRS consequenses from the 1099 you could receive from your "gain" on making a settlement. From what I see, you are what is called judgement proof. Everybody who makes under a certain amount of income per year depending on your state, or is living on exempt income which includes social security, ssdi, 401Ks, IRAs, welfare, unemployment, etc. has the power to stop a collector or creditors from obtaining the judgement in the first place. Check with your local Legal Aid society and they should show you how to write a letter and send it to collectors and creditors by certified mail. This letter has to state certain things, such as the account ID and the fact that you do not dispute nor validate the actual debt, but that you cannot pay because of the particular type of income you receive, and you have no idea when this will change, but you will let them know. I learned this from my own legal aid society and it has stopped all creditors from pursuing me. There are a couple I missed and I had a default filed against me, but I answered it immediately in justice court. People do your homework and don't let these employees of Zwiker or collectors like them tell you that you are trying to get a free ride like I saw in some of these comments. I wouldn't call them scumbags, as they are just trying to do their job, but when I see that they say they are making 100K a year, and they go online to embarrass those who have fell on hard times, I just figure, they will find, Karma is a [***]!

They have been calling everyday twice a day for the last two years asking for a sonia I tell them that they have the wrong number and that they need to stop calling. I called the company back and told them if they didn't stop calling my phone I am going to take legal action against them. I guess we will see if it will work.
