you have 2 different student loans out federal portion and a private portion your federal taxes went towards your federal loan and not towards the private portion which is going unpaid so yes you do need to call
Zwicker has lawyers in every state and the states they dont have any they hire independent lawyers to show up in court so good luck with that.........
Very good advice. Don't be a chump; if you get sued, file an answer. But long before that, demand they stop calling you and that they produce a certified copy of the contract under which their demands are made bearing your signature and a statement (not summary) of the alleged charges or purchases you made. In most cases, they cannot do this. If they try to file suit, and they often will, this alone will get their case dismissed, and gone for good. Demand a jury trial, call the creditor's managers, people that called you on the phone, subpoena their phone recordings - when they refuse to comply, case dismissed. Most people who have a judgment against them simply did not file an answer to the suit and make an effort to find out what to do. They count on the high cost of lawyers and their "target" being out of work and broke and will try to get away with all manner of illegal stuff, like calling late fees and interest "purchases" (fraud, and illegal in almost all states), etc. Use the web. Read. Fight back. If you are out of work you should have the time to do this! Once you get working again, get help from an expert at rehabilitating your credit rating. If you plan to need loans, you will have to settle your debts, but in the meantime, don't let people lie their way to a judgment against you because then it is too late. If a judgment seems inevitable, bankrupt and start over. A garnishment will lose your new job for you, do not let that happen.
Have informed them this is MY number and i do not know the person they are calling to find but they are now calling at 10:30 PM at NIGHT!!! This has to stop!!!!
called left no message so looked up, they have been sent letter and continue to call while the terms are being worked out.
Many creditors got a loan from the government to keep them from going under, which would have ruined the lives of thousands of people because their secured debts would forfeit the collateral. As of this time, most of these creditors have paid off the money the government lent them. The only mistake these creditors made was lending to too many deadbeats during a bad economic state.Debtors charged off their cards, then times got bad, obviously could not pay. When you take out those cards, you sign a contract with a clause that explains in detail what happens when you don't pay. The creditor asks that you only keep your promises. If you can't pay, your "bail out" comes when you explain your hardship to a judge. If you want the inevitable to come sooner, send your debt collectors a letter saying you do not intend to pay.Zwicker & Associates is a law firm. If your debt is with a law firm, it means you have been in default for a long time. It is ridiculous and wrong for a creditor to allow a debtor to go for so long without any payment, but they do because what else can they do? Credit isn't evil, it is a wonderful thing. Without it, people would spend lifetimes saving for their luxuries like cars and homes. The problem is a generation of folks who have too little or no financial skill at all, and slap their signature on something without reading it so they can start using whatever product or service they want sooner. Simply put, consider what you have and make an assessment of what you are capable of. Be pessimistic with your budget because its better than paying for an overdraft. Live within your means the best you can.
Yeah, we can see you are "highly trained and educated", graduated the sixth grade - if you weren't doing collections you would be at NASA, right? Yeah, sure thing.
These people are truly idiots!!! I am paying a debt off monthly with them, but they continue to call me and send me letters. I have phoned them, faxed them and sent them copies of checks that they deposit every month and yet they still have no clue.I have even filed a complaint against them ...i am at a loss!
