It is illegal, and if you have a bankruptcy firm like I do, keep a very detailed record of the calls, time date exacting time, and message and turn it over to them( depends if the firm has a harassment department ect) and they can and will sue them on your behalf, and the will win (mine did) and not only do you get part pay out, but there company has to pay your firms and the courts fees. BTW I just got a call from them today at 8 Pm. Its in my little "dont call me or else" book, and has been sent to my law firm lol.

don't worry about it, there is such a thing which works for consumers, but most consumers do not know of the, and that is is called "Statue of Limitation", if the bill from it's opining date, is more then seven (7) years old then they (the bill collector's have not a legg to stant on, because after seven years you can tell them just plain to get f u c k e d. and you do not have to pay it, especially if the bill was made in your name and you did not make iteven if you did, thye magic word is seven years , so if I were you blow them off the next time you go to the bathroom. I too received a phone call from them, and then I hung up on them, and that is what I keep on planning on doing, sooner or later their paycinse will run out and they will stop calling you.

just because you do not know of a seven year dept limitation that does not mean it is not there, I shoul d know, I have taken both Criminal/Civil Law when I stutied for my Parralegal Associate Degree , among others, that I can use to back my claim up, as mentioned before, the catch is, that the dept must have orriginated from the date of the first transaction and not the last, and it is in material if you are the one who caused the debt or if it was done in your name which is actually a plus in your factor, but irrergardless the seven year law of limitation applies in both ways

To the people with a smart phone(I have a droid HTC EVO 4G LTE), you can create a contact for them in your phone directory. Once a contact is established you can choose for the numbers for that contact to go straight to voice mail OR blocked. Each time they call from a different number, just add it to that contact.
