Checked again - this is a phishing fraud - I confirmed it with Bank of America!!!Repeat - this is a phishing fraud - do not provide any information whatsoever to this fraud - report the call to Bank of America and your state Attorney General.
that # is legit- It really was BofA calling. HOWEVER, when i tried to call the 1800 # to verify it with the bank, i got a rude [***] lady on the phone telling me "Yeah, we just call you" and "We have lots of # that we use"--is that all i can help you with today--didn't even say thanks for calling and just hang up on me!!!!! get some better costumer service personals.
Be weary of 302-358-2910I figured I Google this number 302-358-2910 it to find out what scam it is associated with because it keeps calling my phone. Wow I wasn't expecting to find so many replies regarding this number however I called it back from my work line and a voice messages that says "Thank you for calling call removal................... Please leave your 10-digit number and your number will be removed".........................................................I DIDN'T LEAVE MY PHONE NUMBER..................... I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T (go figure call removal calling to have me remove my number ......awww all I want you to do is stop calling LMBO)
I received two calls from this number, no message left. However, yesterday I did receive an email from the fraud dept. regarding suspicious activity, which I cleared up while online. Today I called the 1-800 customer service number and the rep indicated that my card was ok as far as he could tell, and when I mentioned the calls from 302 731 1166, he confirmed that this was the fraud department of BoA. I'm assuming that they were just following up on the incident from yesterday, so it would appear to be a legitimate number.
Had a phone call from this number at 8:43 am. Looked the number up on the internet and the posting said it was from BofA and that some people upon receipt of this call, found problems with their bofa card!!
I got two calls from this number today, and saw this site - so I called the 800-number on the back of my card. Turns out that by charging $300 last night for a new cell phone, my card was flagged for potential fraud. This is a legitimate call!
If it really is BoA, why is the number used by auto warranty scams too? From another link on Google:"Call came in on my cell phone. So I couldn't get a company name or Caller-ID text. Was a automated message about auto warranty.""I have received numerous calls from this number, with automated messages about my car warranty expiring."ALWAYS call the credit card number on your statement or on the back of your card.
I received a call from this number and made the mistake of providing information to the fraudsters.A couple weeks later, some fraudulent charges were applied to my credit card.Bank of America later confirmed that this is a phishing fraud, and that the number is indeed bogus, and that it is part of a phishing fraud.Don't be fooled - the number is fake.
