I got called on my cell phone today TWICE from this number but with a different area code --- 310-226-4129---saying they wanted me to take a survey. I was at work both times and told them that, so I was not willing or able to take a survey on work time. The second time they called I was pissed. Told them I was on DO NOT CALL list. How exactly are you exempt from that? They hung up. It's a scam. Same number, but apparently from whatever area code they want to put in.
How are they exempt? Go to the Do Not Call website and read the Information for Consumers page you find there. You will find that the majority of junk calls you receive are not actually required to screen against the list before calling.
They called me and said it was a survey. I told them I had no account with them. It was bank of the america or something. I felt a slight bit of fear but politely excused myself. I've tried to keep this post honest.
BOA Ya right! they are down loading spyware into your pc I was just cleaned out $3800 run a scan on you pc I bet they loaded key logger spyware. never trust a cold caller they are port scanning your computer will you are on the phone with them, I repeat never stay on the phone with a cold caller be REAL RUDE to them survey my (***!) IMPORTANT NOTE re 314-226-1459: 5/20/2016. I sent an e-mail to Maritz Marketing advising them of harassing phone calls using caller ID of Bank of America, but that the representative says he is conducting a survey for Maritz Marketing and the possibility that someone may be conducting a SCAM or ID Theft scheme. I received a kind reply from Maritz Marketing saying they are indeed a legitimate company and that they DO conduct customer satisfaction surveys on behalf of Bank of America, thus the Caller ID. Maritz has a website where you can contact them with your complaint. They did remove my phone number from their list. If you complain to them about harassing calls PLEASE be civil and explain your situation. You need their cooperation. If you are rude you will only shoot yourself in the foot...
NOTE: 5/20/2016 sent an e-mail to Maritz Marketing informing them I was getting many phone calls with caller ID Bank of America but the representative said he was with Maritz Marketing conducting a survey. Asked Maritz if they were making the calls or if someone was running a SCAM or ID Theft scheme under guise of Bank of America. Received a polite reply from Maritz saying they were a legitimate marketing firm conducting customer satisfaction surveys for Bank of America ergo the BofA caller ID. Said they would remove my phone number. Maritz has a website where you can send them a complaint. Suggest your complaint be civil and polite. It only makes sense since YOU need THEM to cooperate. They are legitimate....
Caller ID said Bank of America. I have an account with BofA so I answered the call. Caller hung up as soon as I answered. I then searched the number and found this page. Number now blocked.
