I listened to the voicemail and then called the number on the back of the card and verified that the number was safe. It is legitimate if you doubt it just call the 1-800-432-1000 number and ask the operator whick is done by entering your id number or atm card number and then when it starts scrolling automated options just press 0.
Absolutely legit. I was skeptical, found this website. I logged on to BofA.com and lo and behold, 7-8 fraudulent charges from Canada, Luxembourg, France, and several 1800numbers and websites. I called the # on the back of the card and they confirmed it was a valid call and I went from there.
That number appear on the back of my BoA debit card, recently issued. Called there, and it's the collect international customer service number, that is, if you are outside the US, you cannot call the 1-800 number, you have to use the operator to call 1-315-724-4022 and the automatic response tell the operator that they will accept any charge for the call. Try it!
It's a legit call. I just got off the phone w/ Bank of America (called the number on the back of the debit card to be safe). They flag your card for having "suspicious" transaction history. Just call the number on the back of the card to have the hold lifted.
It may be legitimate, but you should never give any personal information to someone who calls you. That's a very dangerous practice. You should always call your creditor directly at a number known to you if there is ever any question. Tusting a source because of what you see on a Caller ID is very bad practice. I worked for a major telcom for over 25 years and can tell you a phone number can be spoofed with the right equipment and software. However, if you want your identity stolen, by all means, give out your personal information.
This number is not real. BofA will use the automatic system to notify an account holder and then they are to call back. Since when does BofA take information from another person other than the individual they are truly looking for? SCAM!!! If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it might be wearing a costume. lol. What a bounch of [***].
BIG SCAM! I just talked to BOA. She told me that there was no hold on my account and that it was a scam.! Don't call that number unless you want some big problems
You are a liar. I just called and Bank of America and this number will NEVER call you. Bank of America does not initiate contact in this fashion. They ask you to call back.
NO its NOT legit. R u one of them scam [***]? They tripped their [***] up on the phone with me. Yeah, like I'm going to give them my ss num, date of birth and moms maiden name. Give me a break.
There is no way this number is legit. I just got a call on my cell phone. First of all, I am not a Bank of America customer. I had a loan through them which was paid off 3 months ago - no checking account or ATM card. Second of all, I have a prepaid temporary cell phone. Nobody has the number, certainly not a bank.
