this is the phone number from BOA. I received a new debit card in the mail a week ago and they called to remind me to activate it....
This was a legitimate call. The call was to advise of a possible compromise of card information. They send the person a new card and terminate the compromised card's information.
Its just BoA guys.... They called multiple times just making sure I got my new debit card and that I need to activate it. Everyone needs to chill lol
The day before I saw a transaction for $0.46 from a random place, so I contacted BOA and they told me to wait until the transaction has been completed. I told them I didn't make that transaction but they continue telling me to wait. This morning, I felt like checking my account early morning and that transaction was still there, I had a bad feeling and an hour later I received a text saying: To continue using your card, please verify these 3 transactions. So I got alarmed and checked my account and found those 3 transactions were not done by me. So I contacted BOA and while they were taking my claim, I received a call from 315-724-4022 in Utica, NY. I couldn't answer because I was with BOA. No voicemail, but when I called back it was a machine saying that the call will be charge and if I want to accept, which I didn't, and hung up, so I decided to look for the number online and found all these claims.Right now I am on the phone with BOA to report this call.If they call me again I will follow the advise from FRAUD! keep getting calls from this # 315-724-4022 saying its bank of America and there has been fraudulent activity on my card. no live person. do have anything from bank of America. has to be fraudulent plus the # calls my cell phone which I have not given to anyone but close family
This number has been calling me for the past several days, and with no message. I just got off the phone today (6/6/15) and spoke w/ BoA, and this number is NOT legit. The rep told me that BoA always will leave a message for you to return the call. What is interesting here is that several days ago, did receive an email from BoA (confirmed to be legit) stating my debit card number was exposed to potentially fraudulent activity, and they were sending me a new debit card. So hand-in-hand with the reason they are sending me a new card along with the scammers calling the house pretending to be BoA - the timeline is too much of a coincidence.
