The Jamaican me crazy man from above left a post on Jan 13...this is not Bank of America. They posted that one above on Jan 13. They are scamming you...Be careful they are incompetant and you feel sorry for them so you do not hang up becasue the guy sounds like he needs help....I filed a report with the Feds. They are coming after them next week.
Great so about 10 times a year this happens, sounds like proof that the outfit's security is week & they'll probably use this tactic to fleece more money from unwitting customers.
I just received a call from this number, but didn't pick up. Instead I called back and was directed to the Bank of America automated number (the legit phone banking system) to verify my Debit card recent transactions. I had 3 transactions within minutes of each other from the same company, which were indeed made by me, but they flagged my account. I am happy they did. I was never asked to give any social security information.
This is a legitimate BofA number. I just received a call from BofA from this number confirming that my debit card had recently been replaced and a reminder to activate it, which was accurate and correct.
I got a text and calls from this #. They say I have unusal activity on my BoA card? I don't even have a BoA card. How the f^&( di they get my # is what i wanna know?
Will- I got a call, and do not have a BofA account. If this is a true suspicious activity call, why do they say "an account registered to... you." I am not a BofA customer, do not have an account with a debit card with BofA, and have not been in a BofA in 10 years.Try again.
Recorded message says Bank of America calling to notify me they are sending me a new debit card. That they think some debit cards have been compromised. Didn't ask me to do anything.

If you THINK it is from your bank, hang up and call the number ON THE BACK OF YOUR CARD from your own phone. NEVER pick up and NEVER call a number you don't know from something you get in the mail. If it is legit, they should be able to transfer you to the proper department by calling the number on your card. ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★ Scam! ★
