Spam! I never answered it. But I did call it back. It went to a voice message that said municipal services for South Dakota. If I owed money to the state they would never call me over the phone. They'd send a bill through the mail first then Serv me papers. This is a scam. Don't fall for it.
The call was legitimate. They were trying to collect a debt for an unpaid ticket with Jackson Municipal Court. Funny thing is this is a business and the attorney here is a Municipal Court Judge in Jackson. Anyway, the person they were looking for no longer works here or never did. They said they would remove the number from their database and it would take 24 hours to do so. Very nice and professional. Let's see if they call back.
Caller ID says NAVIENT. Message is a recording, "This call is for_______. If you are not_____, please hang up." The recording does not fill in the blank with a name. We have no outstanding debts so I ignored it.
Number comes up Gila Corp. on caller ID, left no message on answering machine. When called back recording says municipal services, a collection agency.
They called earlier this morning, no message on the answering machine. Caller id had Gila Corp on it. No idea why the call.
I get calls from them everyday, they never leave a message, 1 time I answered them and they asked 4 my ex-BF, I told them they had the wrong number and 2 take my num off their list and they said they would but obviously NEVER did! Very frustrating!
If there was a debt it may have been sold to the collection company in which case the original debt would no longer exsist from the utility place.
They called me this morning. They do tickets and electric bill collections. It turns out my mother in law even works here... Wierd...
I just bought and activated my cell phone 1 month ago and on the first day I got a call on my phone from this number. They call me 2-3 times a day and they are always asking for an adrian phillips and even after saying that nobody by that name has this phone number they are still caIlling me. I just contacted my service provider with my cell phone to see if there's anything they can do, I hope so but I doubt it.I stopped answering any and all numbers I don't recognize which is troubling b/c I'm waiting on calls from potential employers. I just hope somebody can stop these people from calling. They do leave voicemails but all they say is either one of several women saying "hello?" over and over or a man asking for adrian phillips.
