I can relate to the proper paperwork being sent in. I have been dealing with them for over a year! I was paying back my student loans but unfortunately, I am now disabled and not able to keep up the total amount each month. I have been making good faith payments while working with them on the discharge paperwork designed for people like me who would love to be working full time or even part time, but not able to do so through no fault of my own. I and my doctor filled out all the necessary paperwork and sent it in. They never received it. Sent it in again via certified mail, called a couple of weeks later and they said they never received it. I had proof they received it! Got that taken care of only to get a letter back stating there was missing and incorrect information on the paperwork. My doctor used the same sheet they sent back and corrected and initialed the paperwork. They sent it back again saying there were more items that were not correct. I have been sent back the same paperwork five (5) times. Each time it is corrected, sent back via certified mail. After the third time, I called the company and was told that everything has to be exact. I understand this concept but could not understand and told the representative "How is it that the person who is reviewing this document cannot find all the mistakes the first time around and instead cost me a $40 co-pay each time I have to go back to the doctor and fix the "mistakes?" There is more to this story but that is the jist of it. I really hate dealing with them! Of course they try to use the tactic that all this will be affecting my credit. They can't hurt my credit more than it already is. Being unable to work and waiting for disability approval already shot the credit. This is also why I do everything by cash now. I know, that hurts credit too but if I want something, I will save for it rather than buy it when I don't have the money for it and hope that I will in the future.
This company calls at least 8 - 10 times a day, even up to 8;45 pm. I have a young child and it is driving us all crazy.
I have no student loans or outstanding loans and they have called me several times. Have had this phone number for years. They never leave a message
The whole problem stems from that student loans are not included in any kind of settlements or bankruptcies. These people can charge an ungodly amount of interest and be as rude as they want. They have you by the throat. The attitude the callers have is filtered down from management and they don't care. If anyone has a way of transferring the loans to another company or any help at all, please forward it for all to see.
This number is with AES. They've bothered me off an on for a couple of years. I do have loans with them...I pay failthfully every month. I never answer, they never leave a message. They call 4 times a day. I finally put a dog bark as a ring tone so I know not to bother looking at my phone. I've asked for deferrment papers twice I took out the loan in 2005. They never sent it either time. Seven years of monthly payments and I still have only paid $500 to the principal. I just called asking for an amorization schedule and they told me they couldn't provide it because of the variable interest rate??? That's why I want to see the schedule. Even with the variable interest rate, there is no way I only paid $500 in 7 years towards the principal! I asked if they would provide it in writing that they can't provide the schedule. She hesitated at first then said they would send it in the mail, but I know that won't happen. Wish they would be good at mailing things as they are calling! Been reading a lot of horror stories about them over the past few years and I'm finally ready to start digging in to what they are up to.
I have been paying them. The check is due on the 8th of every month but there is a 15 day grace period before late fees are assesed. I send them the money before the 23rd every single month and have not missed a payment. But if they do not get the check on the 8th they start calling. Tonight they have called every hour between 5:30 and 8:30.
This number called my co-signer and stated they were from AES. I admit I was a few days late with my payment but my co-signer calls and states that AES took $180 dollars from his checking account, which was way more then what I owed. I called AES and they said that there was no payment made and that they could not do that anyways because payment must be initiated by the person making payment. This number is a scam. They are getting information from people to steal their identity. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!
Got multiple calls from this number, with recording telling me to hold for important information. I hung up. This is not how late payments or important information should be delivered. Don't trust anyone looking for personal information or identity verification over the phone.
i just got a call from this number stating they are AES and they need my address because they have received mail back and need to resend it to me. ok, you can't come up with something better...i said no thank you i'm not giving information over the phone and hung up.
The called asking for me to verify my date of birth. Said no. They asked to verify my address. I again said no. Told them that they were calling me and they should know that info if the needed it to verify who I am. I called back and it hangs up immediately every time. I think this is a scam artist
