TO ANYONE READING THISI posted this above, but wanted to add that if they even threaten to sue you and are not intending to then they owe you $1k. RECORD YOUR CALLS and let them know that they're being recorded.Nearly everyone that's posted in this thread, you can easily SUE these scumbags in small claims and WIN. You don't even need a lawyer. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act has a lot of rules that these guys have broken. They left me a message on my machine identifying themselves as debt collectors, which is illegal because they're possibly giving information to your debt to someone else, and have left messages stating to call them on an "urgent business matter", which is also illegal because they fraudulently failed to identify themselves as debt collectors. BOTH of these calls are illegal, and IMMEDIATELY result in them owing me $1,000, which I just finished successfully suing them for and guess what? They've STOPPED CALLING. I just took the FDCPA section stating debt collectors identifying themselves over the phone, gave it to the judge, and he ruled in my favor.Why will you win easily you ask? Because these guys will NEVER show up. You file the lawsuit, they don't show, you give the judge a printout of the info, he makes them give you $1,000. Hit these guys where it hurts, right in their wallets! I saved 6 voicemails from them, and am saving them and suing them monthly for EACH CALL. Hello $6k, thanks shady debt collection agency! Keep the voicemails coming!So it turns out that to get them to stop calling you just have to get them to pay you $1000. Seems like a good deal to me!

I received a call from this number asking for me, and asking me to verify my social security number- I refused and so he asked me to verify my address- I refused and said I wasn't interested, I hung up on them! The name and caller ID did not even match up, which made me very nervous! What is up with this?

I have been getting calls from Francina Jackson stating she is an investagator for check fraud and a warrant for my arrest is being issued if I don't speak to her at once I don't even have checks I use a debit card always!! she has called my x wife's sister and said I pulled a gun and a knife out on her and ran her off my property! well for one I dont have a gun or a knife or do I own any property! I am also disabled and cant even get myself off the toilet Everyone is calling me thinking I have died or something. If my sister gets such a call in her bad health she will have a heart attack!!

Sure it's you're job. But there are simple social principles in which you lack. Simple social rules are easy to follow. Follow them! If you ever leave debt collecting, you are perfectly suited for work in the fields of crime, trash collection(no offense to trash collectors; at least its an honest living) and guarding the gates of hell. My mother has just received a letter from Hanna concerning a debt from Citibank.According to the letter LVNV has purchased the account, and Hanna is representing LVNV.Oh boy! Two of America's WORST debt collectors!Hanna did NOT provide his Georgia Bar # on this letter nor has any "attorney with this firm has personally reviewed the particular circumstances of your account".She has no assets of any kind, she's widowed and now completely bed-ridden.Hanna also claims that he will provide verification of debt if notified in writing within 30 days of such notice."This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used fro that purpose"."This ia a communication from a debt collector.".Looks like a certified letter, RRR in is order
