This is a scam. A computer generated voice claims that your account is "locked" but does not identify what account or type of account it is. "Press 1 for our security department." Then disconnects the call. If you call back they ask for your accounts, numbers, balances etc. You can see where this is going.
Got a call from 786-300-2335 at about 11:00 A.M. Central Time in TX. Computer voice said that one of my accounts(I couldn't understand what it said - computerized call, I think) had been locked because of security. Then it said to press 1 to continue. I did and then it asked for my 16 digit acct #. Then I hung up!
I recieved a call arround 11.00 PM and the same an automated voice said something about security department and then to press 1 to fix the problem, i just hang up. Scam
Received automated call stating my debit card was cancelled, 7am. I was given a company name, something like 'Medline', and instructed to press one. Hung up, called the number back, only got a disconnect tone. Seemed dubious at first, now confirmed it is very much fraudulent.
I have received a call from this number stating that they have locked my pre-paid debit card and I should press "1" to connect to their security department. First of all I don't have a pre-paid debit card. I do not have a pre-paid call at all. Said it was Net Spend. Called Net Spend they are filing a report since it started their company but said they never call anyone. Scam and the fact it came in at 3:37 am
Got a call on my cell at 7:15 Pm saying that my debit card has been locked to press 1 to resolve. After pressing 1 they asked for my 16 digit card number. I hung up!
Call a 6:45pm, saying my Mac is locked and to press one to resolve. Not pressing one for anyone, sorry. I'm assuming Mac is MC?
