Husband got a call stating our account had been locked and to press 1 for help. He hung up.

I was right in the trap. My phone being mainly for business when I got the call I answered and as stated my debit card was blocked according to them. I had just finished a transaction at Kroger; was actually still in the parking lot. saying it was my bank and hearing the typical automated voice I put in all the info they asked for. Here's here GOD came in and stopped me short of entering my security code. Called my bank to verify only to learn 'twas a scam..Scammer must feel like a "[***]" say, "I was right there; DAMN!!P.S. Moving away from these "AUTOMATED TELLERS" is the best solution for this crap!!

Got called at 6:15pm. Didn't answer, they didn't leave a voicemail. Glad I didn't!

Some computer voice tells me that my account has been hacked, press 1 for more information. Phishing Scam! Hang up and get on with your life.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A phishing scam is targeting residents in the Greater Kansas City area.According to a spokesperson with KCB Bank in Gladstone, Mo., the scam is using an automated phone system to get debit card information from cardholders. The automated system states that the person being called has had their debit card deactivated and if they would like to reactivate the card to “ press 1,” it then asks for their card number.So far, two phone numbers have been reported using this scam: 786-300-2335 and 785-300-2335. When you attempt to call these numbers a recorded message from the phone carrier comes on stating: “The customer you are trying to reach is not accepting calls at this time, please try your call later.”Some area banks are posting the scam alert on their websites to warn customers.KCB Bank stated it is important for the public to know that banks do not call direct or use automated phone systems to notify customers of deactivation or to solicit account information. Persons receiving those calls should hang up. Never give out account or personal information to a solicitor.After airing this story on FOX 4 News, several viewers reported having been targeted. If you are concerned, you are urged to contact your bank directly.

Call came in at 3am saying account was calling from MasterCard security department. When I called it back a gentleman states he is having to change his number because fish people are making calls using his number and to disregard.

same as the others, message says my mastercard has been locked( i dont have a mastercard) and asks me to press 1. they have called many times sometimes after midnight

Received a call on my cell about 11:00 p.m. last night; saying something about my account being blocked. I hung up...know the ruse.
