Yes the phone company is a part of the Scam. I can see where they will not help their customers by not blocking these calls because they can sell more caller " ID " Service this way, and would .encourage these types of calls to their customers. Money is the only interest Phone Co's have!
786 300 2335 I got a call from this number saying I had been locked out of some account (didn't catch the account name if they gave one) and to punch 1 which I did not do. Does anyone know if this is legit? Is it some scam to rob an account?
Call just came in at 9:15 PM central time to Wisconsin. Didn't answer. They are still trying to pull this scam.
THIS IS A SCAM: Female computerized voice. They said my card had been locked because of security. To unlock my card press 1. Enter card number (sure I will) entered a fake number. The computer algorithm is smart enough to know typical patterns in bank card numbers so it detected that the number I entered was a fake. That was as far as I went. The call was on a government cell phone so they probably got my name and number off of published sources plugged it into an auto dialer program and were hoping to score a card number.
Called me at 2PM EST, in DC, computerized voice said my card was locked. I don't have a MC, so I knew this was a scam, but I held on the line to see if anyone would pick up. Nope, dropped me... This is a scam; never put your credit info out there for someone to steal!
Just called me to claim that my Master Card account was locked. I don't have a Master Card. SCAM
7863002335 calls several times a day. As early as 5 am. Answered once computer telling me to hit number one or my debit card would be deactivated. I hung up next.morning 5 am I get the call again. Agrivating. I call back and it is not a working group number..
I'm in DC and I got a call from this number at 11.45pm last night. I didn't answer as was not expecting a call from anyone that late in the day.
My call was at 1:30am, and it claimed that my prepaid debut card-dont have one- and my real debit card had been hacked..
