I received several calls in a row instructing me to set up a prepaid account to speak with someone in Middlesex county juvenile facility. After the 5th call I looked up the information online and called the jail myself where the gentleman said he would find out if it was someone I actually knew trying to call me or just some kid bored wanting to talk to anyone. Waiting to hear back but I don't think it's a scam, probably just some kid with the wrong number.

A call just came in on my cell phone, which is new number that I've had for about 5 hours that I haven't given to anyone. So, I'm pretty sure it's not related to Craig's List. I did not answer. Just looked up the number.

I have a son in prison in NC who calls me every 2 weeks collect with no problem.But I still get a automated call from this company each day,sometimes 10 to 12 calls a day offering money saving tips and telling me to call !-800-483-8314.I have called the company and talked to a rep who more or less called me a liar,said they didn't do automated calls.Their supervisor also said the same thing and even if it was coming from them it couldn't be stopped.This is totally unacceptable since I work the night shift and have to sleep during the day but can't because of this constant annoying string of calls.Can anything be done to stop this?

An automated message about receiving calls from a correctional facility, saying that someone tried to contact me, but because of billing restrictions, it was denied. If I want to change this restriction, I can set up a prepaid account to do so. I have no idea why I received such a call. My local landline prefix matches the prefix of the 800 number.

Please make it stop

all you have to do is call the 800-483-8314 and tell them you don't know anyone in jail and they can put a block on your # with a 4 digit password. so the inmate can not call you
