Have received four calls today for payment on account that has zero balance as of yesterday. Called local store and after being transferred a number of time got to speak with idiot in credit department.Macy's has lost a customer permanently due to their lack of humans andConstant badgering It is my understanding any store is limited by law to call customer only once per day. Not sure about that though.
I too think this is a scam ... When Macys calls regarding a "late payment", the calls come from Ohio, area code 513.I have never had Macys ask for the last 4 of my ss #... they ask for the name & phone # on the account to verify ... no matter which dept I call......customer svc or the acct (cc) svc.I too just received a call from this 800 #...... no msg left ...I too am up to date on my account with a low balance .....so there should be no calls to me!!!but I will agree ----- the Macys customer svc sux !!!They never get it right on credits that are due - deal with people that do not speak/understand English.They dont understand what you are talking about - they read from a script to placate you which causes us to have to call back several times.I returned something & I didnt get my credit- called - was told I would have it within 48 hrs. Didnt get it ... then I get an email a few wks later stating that they are sending me a Macys return gift card - had to call them & tell them NO - it was charged on my account & I want a credit on my account ........ IDIOTS !!!
OMG - so i get a call from this # & I pick up. Its an automated system only (no Live person) for MACYs trying to collect on a debt that is 30 days past due.I returned an item so I am not past due/late. If I was - Macys would not have let me charge an item this past wkend - I would have had to make a payment to be able to use my card ........ so this makes no sense what so ever,But I stayed on the line hoping to either speak to a real person or at least stop the calls.I followed the promptings to try and make it known that I was not late - but this was not an option.They wanted you to state when a pymt was being made either in store or on line - I was not given an option to state I was not past due.And I am getting a call daily for this ................................................ This is INSANE!!!Usually you get a call from their cc collection account located in Ohio / the # is: 513.573.8717 (only know this as I did not get my first bill last year & they called me, pymt made - no more calls).Have no idea where this 800 # is coming from --------------------> it is total BSNo wonder Macys is having to close stores ----- every time I call their cust svc line - I speak to someone in another county that has absolutely no idea what I am talking about & totally screws up my account ...................................................
Macys but I doubt it, I don't have an account with them. I see they are calling a lot of people using the Macy's name. Today alone they've phoned 5X. Scammers
Keep saying they are Macys and asking that I verify my information before they talk to me. Garbled reception. Gave my phone number and first name but they wanted my account number. I refused. Just read this scam alert wanted to report it.
Received a call from 1-800-511-3207 samething ask for account number, social security, address, phone, day of birth ,I didn't give it to her . I called federal trade comisión 1-877-FTCHELP to Report it and they told me to Block The Number so they don't bother no more and thanked me for let them know the problem I hope they do something about it .
