Got a call from this #.. Caller id showed "not provided"... No message. From the history of this # on this site, they have been calling at least since 2007!!!

Called cell phone. 7am. No message. Scammers

Took one for the team and answered. "This is your final courtesy call for reducing your credit card debit" (I have none). Press 1 to talk to a rep. I pressed one. Indian-sounding guy wanted to know how I was. I asked him if he was from Pakistan. Silence. I repeated the question and he says yes. I said I didn't want to take to anyone from Pakistan and hung up. I have been told that Indians are highly insulted when they are asked if they are Pakistani.

These people cal me several times a week. I never answer. It's Capital One. I have blocked their number and a new one pops up. I don't even have a Capital One card so I don't know what fraud they want to report or if they are trying to scam me out of money. Either way, I will continue to block them.

Called, left no message. Based on the other replies, I do have a Capital One account but it's in good standing so they can leave a message if they want.

C'mon people, it's not actually Capital One calling you. It's scammers spoofing the caller ID to make it look like it's Capital One. It's not. It's scammers from India or Pakistan.

Recording saying it's the last chance to get a lowered rate on a credit card. I pressed 1 to speak with someone so I could annoy them. His accent was almost completely unintelligible. He asked how I was and I said "Yes." I just kept asking him to repeat himself (very nicely) because I did not understand. He then asked a question about my credit card account. I told him that if he is from the credit card company, he should know. I do not provide any information to someone I don't know. He then gave me the card services spiel again, so I asked specifically what his company's name was....he hung up. I highly suggest annoying these people at least a little before blocking them. They get really frustrated....

Know it is a scam, Dot answer the phone. When into his BS, with my credit of paying my bill on time. Told him I pay it in full, so I have no interest charge to me. Then I when into my Philly talk. Call him all sort of names. Beside. Capital one does not call. ID show Capital One.
