It was the regular credit card scam where they will reduce your credit card rate. Press 1 to talk to a scammer or press 2 to NOT be taken off there call list. Didn't have time to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person today so I just hit the star key (*) followed by the pound key (#). Past experience shows that this will disconnect the call. Worked this time as well. Not sure what their predictive dialer does with that key sequence but one would hope that it might shut it down. Yup, I know it's probably wishful thinking, but who knows.

Have gotten a number of calls. Always says they can reduce my interest rate. I tell them I don't carry any balances so I don't give a f**k what the rate is. This time we weren't home and they left no message.
This is not Capital One. I answered, and was greeted by a recorded message stating they've made multiple attempts to contact me regarding my interest rates. Followed by the typical "press 1 to speak with a representative, or 2 to decline this offer". I pressed two, and was still somehow connected to a representative, whom you could tell was sitting in a call center. I asked to be removed from their list, and he immediately hung up on me.
It is a scam!! Fraudsters pretend to be from Capitol One!!! They only want to steal your identity!
