Caller ID said 860-951-7532 and said China. The lady with heavy accent (probably India) said something (I think she said from windows) and said my computer was sending a signal, indicating my computer was infected.I played along. She wanted me to enter some commands to try to get my computer to show something that looks suspicious.I've had these calls before. They want you to buy their crap to fix the virus.I asked her what my IP address is. She said it was sending a signal. I told her that if my computer was sending malicious signals, she would know my IP address. She started giving an IP address, which isn't mine.I told her where she could stick it.she started yelling at me.
I received a call very similar to everyone else. The person spoke with a heavy accent. He said he was from (something) Solutions. Which he said my personal computer had picked up some infections. I asked how would he know and he said because the Windows Key registered to my phone number. I asked him how was this possible because I never used this number for any computer proucts. I then asked him for a number I could call back; which he gave me 800-201-4089. He said his name was Chris. I never called the number. He did say he was with tech support.
I just received a call from this number 860-951-7532 he said he was from the Geek Squad and that my windows computer was infected and sending them information about it. I explained I don't own any Windows computers and all mine are Apple computers. He then directed me to the "Apple Department" and they wanted me to type some info into the address bar so they could take a look at my computer. I didn't buy any of my computers at Best Buy this is a total scam for people to get your information. They said they were from "Texas, Bourbon Street" I just had a little fun with the scammers to take up some of their time and then told them I wasn't entering any of their info in my address bar they immediately hung up on me. Be very careful these scammers are getting very good I'm sure if someone not knowing and bought their computer at best buy might buy into this crap.
Got a call from this number...hung up almost immediately because the first thing out of his mouth was "I'm bad, I'm sick, I need to master****."

Thank you for adding to the info base. Every little bit that helps us avoid these "people" is appreciated. Also, you might want to warn anyone you know who doesn't have a computer, caller ID and/or answering machine/voice mail about these things. My mom is 95 and does not have caller ID or an answering machine, but she does know to avoid most calls. She really doesn't trust too many calls these days, because I keep telling her about all of the scams. If whoever is calling doesn't respond to her "Hello" immediately, she hangs up on them. Even did it to me because she didn't hear me right away.
This caller requested i get in front of my personal laptop and he would assist me in removing files which are dangerous to my computer. I have mcafee, i don't have a service like this and my laptop is working great. So i told him i needed to verify his company and asked for a return number he stated i could call the number on my caller id. When i tried calling, it states the number is not in service at this time
