Called today about my computer needs protection. Called his fake accent, and he got mad.

Just got a call from this number on my cell. Said I had something downloading on my computer that was bogging down their server. Then he asked if I was aware of that. I told him I was aware that my computer wasn't even turned on, to which he said I needed to turn it on so they could check out was the problem was. What an idiot. I should have yanked his chain longer but I just hung up.

Indian Spammers claiming they were from Cisco and supporting a problem with my Microsoft Windows. Wanted me to connect to a random IP address using Internet Explorer presumably so they could download keyloggers and other malware onto my computer

An Indian sounding man said he was from Geek Technical Support and he is calling about my computer issues. I immediately told him to take me off of his list and he hung up on me

This number continues to call me phone; when you say hello there is no one on the other end. When will the DO NOT CALL LIST actual work?

Do NOT do anything they ask you. They will claim your computer sending error message or found virus on your computer. Then will ask you to go to some website, so your computer will get infected by viruses. A bunch of Indian criminals trying to hijack your computer then ask for ransom.

Geek squad calling because I was having computer trouble

Also got the same call when I told them that I will have geek squad take a look at the problem he became very upset and started using foul language I hang up.
