We lived in CT for 10 years and still have family and friends there, so when this familiar area code showed up on my cell yesterday evening I answered. It was the computer scammers. I told them I wasn't going to be falling for their stupid scam. They hung up before I could finish telling them not to call this number anymore. I was heading out the door, so didn't take the time to string them along. They just called the house phone. We didn't bother answering. Must be their week to troll through all the 580 number combinations.I'm so thankful for this site!
same thing here that number called me twice, I thought it was a job calling me good thing I looked it up because I didn't want to miss a employment call, now I will block that number. Thanx everyone for posting about this scam number.
Got a call on my cell from "PC Solutions" telling me my computer was infected because "someone disabled my firewall and was attempting to get into my computer." I said, "Yes, YOU are." He said, "No" and continued to try and get me to ;og into my computer. I asked him how he knew that. He couldn't answer. When I asked if I had Windows 7, 8 or 10 he said they didn't have that information so I asked how he could help me, then. No good answer. I even tried to get him to leave him number "in case we get disconnected" but he wouldn't. It was an Indian-accent voice. Shocking.
MFers called my cell. Had DND on, so they tried a couple times. HAHAHA! good to know this is a scam number, I'll add them to the blocked list.
Same thing the others said - Asian guy called saying they monitored my Windows computer and found and issue. I said I don't have a Windows computer how dos you get my number and I would like to speak to a supervisor. Supervisor (middle eastern/Indian accent) came on and kept trying to tell me the same thing other users said. I said I have my own technical support guy for my computer is something wrong and I'm not interested. Repeatedly asked him to take my number off his list then I said take my f***ing number of of your list and that really pissed him off. He said he was going to c** on my back and f*** me in the a**hole. Obviously I was completely disgusted and hung up and blocked the number.
Had a call from this number.Fumbling ESL moron trying to convince me my computer downloading a virus.Played with him long enough to get him mad and then hung up on him.
This dude got me on my cell phone, driving home. I've also had this happen on the home number. He asked if I was on my computer. I asked him if he was on his computer, and if it would it be ok for me to remote access to his computer to check for viruses (or something like that - ha ha). Then I asked for a number so I could report his outfit to the FBI, and he quickly hung up. Real tech support does not randomly call like that.
Received call from 860-951-7532 on both my unlisted T-mobile phone and my unlisted home phone number that I had given to T-mobile when they asked for another phone to call back other than my cellphone. I received the first call only hours after the T-mobil service call had been resolved and the other call one week later. The caller announced "I am the computer technician". Could it be they are hacking the numbers on T-mobile network?
