Got a call from this number about some amber alert missing girl, I Google the number and it's a scam telemarketing not amber alert at all.so from now on I blocked the # . My cell phone show it was scammer using some else # .
You're right they do call to check if system is still working or report missing persons It's always from your local police. You can call your local police dept. for more info and talk to a person. Automated calling numbers are usually busy or unlisted.
Does the code red message call back system follow my phone, or is it just for the area where it started

The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
