This number is now being used by telemarketing companies. Get used to the new normal imposed on us by all the liberals that are out of control out there.

Received call 3/1/2018 and message stated it was Henrico County Fire testing the emergency notification system. Further said there was no current emergency but if residents have questions, gave a website to check for answers and more details.
I received a call 01/23/2012 at 9:44 a.m. advising of a missing woman in our area. The recording gave a specific name of the missing woman and a specific address . It sounded like a legitamate call at first. After checking on local news, there was in fact a missing woman but her name was not the specific name on the recording. The actual missing woman's address was similar to the one on the recording. It was to me a very disturbing phone call. I just couldn't imagine who called and gave the wrong information.
This is a legit call. It was a pre-recorded from my County Fire/Emergency dept reminding me of an test emergency broadcast that was going to happen later today and that it was just a test. I have already read about the test in the paper, heard it on the news, and seen it on FB, so I was aware of it. This was not a spam call.
This is usually the number they use for emergencies (shows up on ID as Emergency Commu on my phone), and we've always gotten these calls for weather emergencies, or as others have posted, red alerts about situations. But the last two days they have called with the same recorded message about the earthquake FEMA eligibility (from Aug. 23rd VA earthquake). Only problem is, we're not in the county eligible for funds. This is the second day we've gotten these calls and I would not consider this a proper use of the emergency system. Makes me think this is some sort of scammer hiding behind the emergency number.

Yes this is a Code Red number...I signed up for emergency notifications from my county.....I live in Florida and wanted to get emergency notifications during the storm Irma...... This is NOT a telemarketer.
