It's the Code Red Emergency Network. I signed up for the service which delivers emergency weather warnings, eg. heavy snow or gale force winds, for my mountain house. This is legitimate.

Called at midnight

GET AN AIR HORN FROM WALMART WORKS GREAT AND IT'S FUN TOO. IF WE ALL DID THIS THEY WOULD QUIT CALLING

I ignored the call when it came in but they left a voicemail. It was a CodeRed call from my town's police department. I've added it to the contacts in my cell phone so I won't ignore it anymore.

got a call from this number. it was our local city reverse 911 test of the emergency notification system. definitely legit and i will put that number into my contacts list for next time.

Caller ID said CodeWeb. When I called 866-419-5000, it told me about a missing 84 year old male missing in my neighborhood. Even gave the tag number of his vehicle. They called after 10:30PM on the 4th of July. It is a great service though but is an emergency Amber Alert type system.

If you call this number back from a landline, you need to put the 1 in front of the number, otherwise you get the disconnected/no service message. You will then hear the intended message.

Local Police Dept called to alert us of a power outage in our area due to a construction accident. Very helpful to know that they are on the scene and have alerted the power company to get the power back on in a timely manner.Our city and county have subscribed to the CODE RED alert system and it has been used several times for severe weather emergencies. This is a service that we had to sign up for with our phone number and address.

It's been as cold as the South pole for the past week around here. Now that the weather is warming up, I get a call on how to prevent pipes from freezing. They could have given me the number for AAA last week when my car wouldn't start. That would have been helpful. I think they were just checking to see if someone was home before they come over and rob the place.
