The number ended up being legitimate. But I called the number on BofA's website, and they transferred me over to the ATM/Checkcard Security department. Before they did they gave me the number in case I got cut off. It was the same number given in both an email and a voice mail left on my phone.Of course, you should always err on the side of safety, so don't take my (or anyone's) word for it, give BofA a call through their customer service number on the website and have them check out the situation and transfer you over. Good luck!
Receuved a cakk frin tge 877-833-5657 phone number claiming to be fraud dept. of Bank of America. I don't even have an account with BOA. Wish there was some way to stop these annoying calls.
If you look at every single post above claiming this number is fraudulent, they've either RECEIVED a call from this number (it's possible to spoof caller id), or received a suspicious email containing this number, and assumed that the number itself is fraudulent. Here is how you can confirm it's legitimate (and any suspicious activity in your account)-go to www.bankofamerica.com-log into your account-Click on the Alerts tab (up near the Accounts Overview tab)-Click on Alerts History. If there has in fact been fraudulent activity with your account, you'll see something there.-Click show details - they'll recommend you call this number. If you sincerely believe that these directions are somehow untrustworthy, you need to either brush up on your understanding of technology, or see a shrink. And I'll say it again - if you've actually RECEIVED a call from this number, it's probably a fake and a scam. If you're ever asked to call this number, actually calling the number will not do any harm.

Just had two fraudulent purchases made with my card and was suspicious of the email and phone number. After checking my alerts with my account I saw that they were all legitimate and this is indeed a number owned by BoA. Cancelled my card and have a new one on the way and now I have to fight those charges.
This is a legitimate Bank of America fraud prevention number. I got a call from it on my cellphone that showed up as 'unknown' and they left that number. I called their main line and they verified it was legit. That doesn't mean that it's legit if it's in a phishing email that asks you to reply to it, but if you call it, it's legit.
This number is a complete fraud. If you enter you debit/credit card info into the automated system expect to have your money stolen.
This is not legit you [removed:lang]. You must be working for the idiots who are running this scam.
