Read the Better business bureau report on this company; it's very interesting reading. The best part is the address they use is for the Anaheim California City Hall.
This is definitely a scam. Check out the Better business bureau report on this company and you'll find among other things that "their" address is actually that of the Anaheim California City Hall.
Today I got a call from this number 941-961-8518. The guy said his name was Steven John. He sounds like he was from India. He said he's calling me in reference to a loan I took in 2008, which I never did. He said the loan amount was for 200 dollars, and if I don't pay it I will be fined 1,095. and he threatened me by saying two officers are going to come to my home to take me to court, and if I'm found guilty I will face 7 to 8 months behind bars. He had information about my Occupation, my home address, my mother's name, sister's and the last four digits of my social, that was frightening. I asked him what was the name of the company that was issued the loan he said "National Advanced Payday Service". He gave me this number to call back 818-451-4027 when I called the number I got a fax machine service.

This number just called my work phone and asked for me by my 1st name and last name, we have caller id at work and as i was speaking to them i was googling the number and I could not understand anything he was saying because of all the noise in the back ground. His name was Daniel and I hung up on them after telling them this was a scam and to not call this phone again. He called back two more times and the 3rd time someone else answered my work phone and the guy Daniel told my co-worker he was my brother...Seriously and my co worker stated he was my Daddy and hung up! They haven't called back as of yet and its 4:15pm here. I have recently updated my credit report thru freecreditreport.com and started working on Experian and Equifax...maybe that's where they are getting the info from.
Same phone number on the message to call and the same number calling to leave the message. However, I don't think India. The accent is more like someone from the Bahamas. It is in the way "Derek Richard" says some of the message. The 941 number calling from is a Verizon number no longer in service or disconnected.
I got a call (941-961-8518) yesterday July 23, 2009 and there was a message left by emma Gibson stating that i must call her as soon as i get this message. I tryed to return the call and it was Verizon Wireless disconnected number. On July 24, 2009 i got another call and it was emma gibson stating that i got a loan with National Finders and that i owe $5,000 plus dollars. They had the names of my sisters, last four of social and bank info. Emma was very rude and kept asking me not to interrupt her. She then put another person on the phone and after i was done yelling at him, he hung up.... I knew it was fraud... but how do we stop it?
I got the same call from 941-961-8518 first on my cell phone and then at my Job. It was a very loud Indian man, saying that I have a $5000 loan and if I don't pay it there were going to be police to pick me up at my job to escort you to the court house to settle. I hung up on him and he called my job again and again. he left a message on my cell phone stating this and leaving a number to call 818-451-4027. I called the 941 number and it was a Verizon Wireless message saying that the number was disconnected. his name was Josh WilliamsThis company had all of my information, where i lived, my social security nuuber, and other personal information. This is definitly a scam, please don't give them any information. I am going to turn the number in the secret service.
I recieved a call today and they left me a voicemail message on my cell phone that was very unprofessional and I couldn't understand anything they were saying and it was very loud in the background. After listening to the message a couple times they told me to call back 818-451-4026 so I did. They told me I took out a payday loan and on Monday morning legal attornies were going to come to my place of employment and bring me to court. He knew the last 4 of my SS#, the last 4 of my bank account #, and the name of my bank. When i started asking him questions he couldn't answer me and it sounded like someone in the background was feeding him lines on what to say. Did anyone have anything happen with their social or bank account since they know the last 4 digits? Should I close my account and open up a whole new one?
