also they will give you a number of the attorney the appoint you to and it is the same voice as the person that called to read you the affadavit...report them to secret service and dismiss their calls PLEASE!!!!!!

I received 9 calls today ( 4/29/09 ) threatening me with legal action due to an unpaid payday loan which I never had. They had all of information including two of my childrens names.

Additional information to above post..... I contacted my local Secret Service office and he gave me the website to report this to.It is www.ic3.gov. You can file a complaint regarding this. I was so afraid of what they were saying I immediately flagged my bank account and social security number to prevent any unusual activity or compromising of my identity. They gave me a call back number of 310-362-9322 and sounded either african or jamican.

I HAVE GOTTEN TWO CALLS IN TWO DAYS FROM THESE PEOPLE. FIRST NUMBER THEY CALLED FROM IS 1-213-286-0206(FROM CALIFORNIA) AND REQUESTED THAT I SEND A FAX STATING THAT THE CREDITOR(CASHNET) IS ALLOWED TO MAKE DEDUCTIONS FROM MY DEBIT CARD #XXXXX IN THREE INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS OVER THE NEXT MONTH. THEN THEY TRIED CALLING FROM 941-961-8518(FLORIDA) AND I COULD HARDLY UNDERSTAND THE PERSON. LIKE OTHER INDIVIDUALS, THEY HAVE MY SSN (BUT LAST 4 DIGITS ARE NOT RIGHT), WHERE I WORK AND LIVE AND MY PHONE NUMBER. SO, I CALLED CASHNET YESTERDAY, AND REPORTED THIS, CASHNET TOLD ME TO REPORT IT TO THEIR FRAUD DEPARTMENT AND THAT THEY WERE AWARE THIS WAS GOING ON. I'M SCARED AS TO WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT.

This is a scammer. I reported to the FBI.

1-941-961-8518 also called with a 310 prefix and said things like "if you do not pay then I wish you good luck." this person called my mother and threatened violence.

A man with a thick middle eastern accent told me I was to inform my son to call him the very second I received this message. I was to have him call on his hotline number, 310-362-9322. He repeated the number and said my son had taken a payday loan "from our company, National Payday" and that he "did not bother to pay it back." He said there is a legal case against him (my son) that would begin in two day's time, and that if he (my son) did not pay it back, he (my son) would suffer the legal consequences. He went on to say, "So please do this and we can help your parents and you can survive, okay, thank you."

Nicole, I received that same message but when the number showed up again I answered it. The guy name is Mike. He stated to me that he was an attorney and that their were legal actions made against me. I asked him to send me the paper in the mail and he told me I should have received and e-mail about the charges. I explained to him that no professional attorney will send an e-mail regarding any kind of legal actions against a person. He got so mad with me that he hung up. I doing a little investigation myself with the company as well as my bank.

Do not let this ignorant screaming person scare you! I received a call from him on Friday (1/9/08) telling me that I owe over $2,000 and that he is submitting my file to federal crap crap and that they will be coming to my job to arrest me on Monday. At first, I was panicking and he knew it so he played on that. I spoke with an attorney at my company and also called Federal Trade Commission because I was so darn scared, anyway, it is against the law for any individual to arrest you for just a paid day loan which is however illegal. I was amazed that he had so much info on me, he has my ss#, address, work and cell #, everything. This guy kept on calling me, I told him to hold on to speak with the attorney at my office and he hang up, he called back I kept transferring him, he kept hanging up. He called my cell screaming at me and becoming angrier by the minute that I was not falling for his scam. This sucker got our info from some low life and is using it to collect some fast cash off us. It's obvious that he caught a few people before that's why he keeps repeating this act.DO NOT LET THIS SUCKER SCARE YOU!!

I recieved a similar call from the same number stating that I had legal charges being brought against me by CashNetUSA and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. When I asked for a copy of the affidavit I was told that it would be delivered by a law enforcement agent. I don't know how much credence to place on this call.
