Called me requesting information on family member. Wanted family member cell number and verify home number. Asked why and they stated for personal information. They would not give up anyinfo on their co.

Asked me to verify my address and i was like "who is this?" lady on the phone said we verify information in our database for banks, loan companies, credit card companies. Told her those companies that she is referring to have my correct address. Im never 30days late on Anything Ever so not sure what she is calling me for.

My DH's ex-wife apparently doesn't know how to pay her bills either and this company keeps calling our house looking for her....I'm on the verge of giving them her new address for the hell of it.

You have yet to answer the questions regarding those of us that have received these calls and are not behind in any of our payments. And why whould a mortgage company say that you have not been hired by them and not to give you any information? I do understand that you are hired by the lawyers but the mortgage company should be made aware if they truly hired you or your so called lawyers. Being sneaky about getting information is an invation of privacy. The "Do Not Call" list states that you can only call your customers. Calling neighbors and relatives for info is an invasion of privacy. It is no ones business that someone is behind in their mortgage. My daughter had her identity stollen by these kinds of calls. And what about the post on here where the guy entered the foyer and then did not announce himself and when caught he turned and hightailed it out of there? If he were to do it here he might find himself shot...pretty risky!! Come in my house unannounced you may leave out in a bag.
