just got one of these too. the lady did not even identify herself - she just started right in asking personal questions claiming I was related to someone and they needed to update their database with new a address - BUT - if they really know whom I am and if I am related to this person WHY NOT CALL THEM - since I have absolutely nothing to do with whatever they are up too! I would never give out mine or any one elses information over the phone or www for any reason especially not to someone I do not know - this should be illegal.

I removed myself from the conversation as I would never give out mine or any one elses information over the phone or www for any reason especially not to someone I do not know - this should be illegal.

I GOT A CALL FROM PROVEST LLC TODAY,THEY WANTED TO VERIFY MY SON'S INFORMATION, AND SAID THEY WERE DDURING THIS FOR HIS BANK AND MORTGAGE COMPANY. I TOLD HE WASN'T HERE, THEN I CALLED THEM BACK AND TOLD THEM THIS IS MY NEW PRIVATEAND ASKED WHERE THEY GOT IT WHEREAS IT IS ONLY A FEW DAYS OLD. THEY SAID FROM HIS BANK. I INFORMED THEM THAT THEY WERE LIERS AND THAT THEY BETTER REMOVE MY PHONE NUMBER NOW,THEN I CALLED THE POLICE AND THE F.B.I. THEY ALL SAID AS LONG AS I DIDN'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT". WELL,I AM WORRIED ABOUT IT!

I got a call from Provest a couple months ago and ignored it because I didn't recognize the number/name. Then I get a frantic phone call from my adult daughter who told me they had called my ex-husband and ex-brother in law looking for my current husband! I've been divorced for over 20 years. I Provest back and actually got someone who was nice. She told me they were hired by Wells Fargo, my mortgage company, to find me as the number WF had for me had been disconnected. I've had the same number for years. I called WF and they told me they HAD NOT hired the company and had received many calls from other customers saying Provest had been contacting them on WF behalf. I told Provest NOT to call me or my family/ex's any longer. Today I see that while I was at work I got a call from Provest. What the heck??

A company called Provest 972-496-8700 called my sister in law they left her a message saying they were looking for next of kin to my husband! She freaked out and thought something had happened to us. She called us to let us know. Very bad bussiness practices! When I looked them up to find out what they do I called my Mortgage company and verified that our morgage is fine and they did not do bussiness with this company. Glad I was able to read these posts to get more info! Shady Company

I got a call from them on Nov 18, telling me they were trying to contact a neighbor of mine, by the name of Rebecca (there is no one by that name in my neighborhood), so I told them I didn't know anyone by that name, they said thanks and hung up.

We received a call from this company today. We didn't recognize the name of the company or the number so we didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Our number is unlisted. I'll wait and see if they call back.They won't get any kind of personal info from me about us or anyone else.

THEY STILL HAVE NO RIGHT CALLING NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS OR RELATIVES ASKING FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION ON SOMEONE ELSE.......IF THEY THINK THEY WILL GET COOPERATION THEY BETTER THINK AGAIN!!!

SIMPLY FAX THEM A COPY OF THE FAIR DEBT AND CREDIT ACT.
