Received phone call ostensibly from this number - man with a marked Indian accent hardly capable of pronouncing my name, said he was with Microsoft and that my computer was reporting errors indicating that someone was trying to enter my computer and would I go and turn it on now. Since I usually do not report errors, it seemed immediately like a phishing scam so I asked him to confirm his organization and I would call back. Call terminated. Dialling back and search for 288 area code confirmed scam.BTW: Bean is incorrect - this was no gentleman.

I got a call from this number. The guy "David" with an south-asian accent told me that he was calling from Microsoft services to tell me that the computer i was using was downloading lots of viruses. I told him that what he was doing was evil and shameful and that his mother knew what he doing even though she was not yet confronting him about it, but that he could look forward to very bad things happening to him in the near future.

I received this call this evening. He stated he was from Microsoft and insisted that I had a virus. I was already pretty sure it was a scam. Microsoft would have no way of knowing that anyone has a virus, and they do not call people. I was busy making dinner so I eventually hung up on him.

Got a call from a female with an Indian accent. 288-918-6555. She knew me by name. When I said this is he, she started talking in a different language. I could not understand what she was saying. I hung up.

I just rec'd a call from the same number. Heavy indian accent. Said he was from microsoft and that my computer had registered too many error complaints in the past several days and he wanted me to log onto my computer so he could help fix the problem. I told him "no thanks". I tried to call the number back and it said that the call could not be completed.

Got a call from this number from a man with a heavy Indian accent asking for my daughter by hername, and I admitted to being her. He said there was a problem with the computer and would Iturn it on. I responded negatively, because she does not own a computer nor does she live withme. Then he hung up. I figured this was some sort of scam. He might have said what companyhe was with, but with that heave Indiana accent, I couldn't understand him. .

How do these people get my number? I'm unlisted and in the National Do Not Call Registry. Just got a call from this 288-918-6555 number and hung up at 10 seconds when there was no answer. I'm filing a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. These idiots need to get a real job and stop wasting everyone's time.

I have recieved at least 50 of these calls in the last 6 months.. One time my son answered and the douche actually threatened him. Last time he called I said" yeah, you've called before from Microsoft" He was adamant he wasn't from microsoft.. then proceeded to say he was from microsoft.. I'm so sick of these calls. I even re-registered all my numbers on the dnc list since it apparently deleted my request from years ago.

Man with thick Indian accent... same scam supposedly from microsoft trying to get me to log onto computer.

Some thieving rat puke with an Indian accent, tried to sell me an extension of my Microsoft Windows warrantee, for $20.00 He assured me he was from the Microsoft Support group near Syracuse NYAs I spoke to him on the phone, I got a call from my VISA card Fraud Squad telling me he was trying to get authorization for $257.00 and another $197.00 for this warrantee.Their quick action shut the whole transaction down. If only they delivered this speciman to me, I could have introduced his genitals to my Burnz-o-matic torch, , which I would gleefully apply with a smile, , , , PITY ! ! !
