I received a call at 12:45 PM Oct 9, 2013. The number was 288-918-6555. The caller was East Indian. The caller said he was calling from Micro Soft Computers and was calling regarding my computer. He said that my computer had many unnecessary software updates and other viruses. He would guide me through the repairs for no charge. I should go to my computer and he would help me. I ask him why would he want to do this, and he hung up. -LM
I just received a call from 288 918 6555 and he wanted to fix my computer and said it was full of unwanted posts.....I told him to go to "you know where"
It's a scam. If you let them "fix" your computer, they lock it up so that you can't use it. Then for a large feethey will unlock it. These s.o.b.'s try anything to screw the consumer.
Called just now, said he was calling about my computer from Michael's phone... heavy Indian accent. When I asked who was calling, he restated he was calling about my computer. Said I didn't have one and he hung up.
I received a call from a person with a very heavy "Indian" accent, saying that he is certified Microsoft technician and that my computer has a virus, I guess he wants me to go online wait for his further instructions, I just told him that I'm using an apple IOS and I hang up.. Who are these people, Microsoft should be involve and start investigating on this. FYI my computers are windows XP and 8... My caller ID shows it is a blocked call.
gentleman said he had signals that said that I had a computer virus and wanted me to sit down at the computer and use the microsoft key to start the verification that he was actually a microsoft representative. I do not have that key on my keyboard and he said that he must have the wrong person. This cll was tooshady...everyone else please note!! don't do what he asks
We never answer numbers we don't recognize. I should have picked up the I would have told him all my computers are Mac's. I'm a geek so I would have yanked his chain then hung up. These people are nothing but scum bags praying on the innocent.
Caller not native English speaker/heavy accent, noisy background, said he was calling from Microsoft. He said my computer had some sort of virus and it would crash completely in 3 hours if did not let him walk me through repairs. I said I would call him back, he was persistent, I hung up.
