Received a call from "Microsoft Support" today. Very heavy Indian accent. Claimed That my IP address was generating SPAM complaints. Wanted me to turn on my PC so he could walk me through repairing it. I asked who I was speaking with and he repeated that he was from Microsoft. At that point I just said I don't thin so and hung up!A total phishing attempt and not even a good one at that! Microsoft doesn't give a crap about SPAM complaints and isn't going to waste their time and money with reverse tech support phone calls!

This number has called numerous times and there is no one there. When I called the number it said the call could not be completed.

Received a call from a man with heavy accent. I kept tell in him I could not understand where he was telling me he was from. He finally said "well listen" and I hung up. This number was on my caller I.D.

Jan 16 7:57 am. Call from "Aliza" from Microsoft saying a viris had occurred. I asked for her Ph. #. She gave me 804 435 5325 which did not relate to the 288 918 6555 # that came up on my caller id. I told her to call back in the afternoon when I wasn't busy, but she said she could only call customers in the morning. Just hang up!

~11AM EST. Staticcy call from guy with heavy Indian accent who knew my first name, transcript follows.(ANSWER PHONE)Me - "Hello, Smith residence"Caller - "Hello, Mike? I am calling from Windows Microsoft. (pause) This is about your computer?"Me - "Which computer?"Caller - hangs upOh come on. "Windows Microsoft"??!? How daft.

Called here a few minutes ago, man with Indian accent, could hardly pronounce my name. I let him go on about the virus thing, etc, then I asked laughingly "Really, like I am going to give some unknown person information about my computer.." and he hung up before I could finish my sentence. I reported the number and my comments to the Fed Do Not Call site.

Received call from 288-918-6555 for the 3rd time in Jan. Identified as Microsoft Tech Support andwanted to help speed up my computer. Heavy foreign accent, asked where he was calling fromand said Microsoft T S, I said no your location and he said New York. I told him I didn't have timeat this point to go to my computer and line went dead.

Did not answer and hung up at 16 seconds.

This is the second call of this type I have received, but the first call was blocked. The female caller gave a name and said she was from "Windows Tech Support" to which I replied "No you are not, I am calling the FBI now" and hung up. You should not even try to call area code 288 since it may transfer you to India. The first call I got a few months ago kept saying he was from "Windows" when I asked which company to which I was yelling at him "Windows is not a company you f****ing moron - what the hell kind of scam are you trying to pull" I was a little more calm for this last call :)

Called at 6:45 this morning, the 18th. I did answer and said nothing and the person on the other end hung up. Must have realized we have a time differential. This is the first time we have received a call from this number.
