Received 2 calls a minute apart from 288-918-6555. Didn't answer either one cause I don't answer call I don't know who they are from. for some reason didn't feel right so I goggled the #. Glad I did, but would of loved giving him/her a piece of my mind!!

i received this same bullsh*t call, i just tried to mess with them as long as poss....it was fun!answer the call people.............just have fun with these dumb a$$'s...!!!!!!!!

Got our first call this morning 8:38am. Didn't answer however because you don't wake up retired people at that time in the morning. It appears this India descent person is working his way around the world. Fortunately my husband was an IT specialist at a big company, so I know we have no problems.

Got a call from the number today, heavy Indian Accent, told me he was from Microsoft and that my computer was downloading a virus. I hung up on him.

i rece. call from this no.and he was asking about my family members. i say who is calling he was telling me some weired langauge in indian prounce.i hang up the phone.

A woman named "Jessica" claiming to be "with Microsoft" just called from 288-918-6555 and said she wanted to talk about my computer. I told her I don't have one and she called me a liar and hung up.

Got the www.showmypc.com scam phone call about 1:15 today, the 22nd of November 2013. Very nice girl with a Taiwanese or Philippine accent. Definitely not Indian. I lived in India for 2 years. She said, "my PC was reporting to Microsoft that my computer had over a 1,000 errors". All her talk implied she worked for MS.Anyway, I knew it was a scam and went along. She asked me to type "EVENTVWR" after pressing the Windows key. I did. The computer went to the event viewer and after another click to "Custom Views, and then to "Administrative events". Then she asked if there were any errors. Of course, there were over 7,000. I said (lied), "I see only one". It says, "faulting application name: Acrobat.exe... etc."She was a little perplexed, "What about above? Any errors". "No I lied, just the Acrobat.exe error". She asked me to exit and then asked me to type: www.showmypc.com.Ah, I thought, at last. Here comes the "scam" and the gentle, reassuming touch for the money. She asked If I was the owner. I replied, "No, the computer belongs to a friend. He loaded it to me after mine broke about 6-weeks ago".She hung up.Oh, crap! I was just having some fun. LOL afterwards. Waste their time & have some fun :)Probably won't get any more calls :(Brad

I also received a call from this number. Told him that I was an IT Technician, which I am not. lol. I think it was the fastest time someone ever hung up on me.

Man with foreign accent calls saying he is from Microsoft and wants access to my computer to fix virus. I always tell him he is a scammer and he gets hostile and I hang up.
