same as above. indian accent...needed to get into my coputer. hummm who do you call to report this kind of thing?
Got the call today @ 9:14 a.m. Thick accent guy saying he was calling about my computer, as if it was a service call. I told him I didn't understand why he was calling me. He said something about the Internet and I told him I do not have Internet access on that computer. He said "don't lie mam" I said "don't lie? Look who's talking". My husband wanted me to get off the phone but I was quite amused at this deadlock of whether I was telling the truth or not. Pretty stupid scam
I received a call from a male voice. He wouldn't give his name. He started the sentence computer, but hungup when I insisted a name.
Similar to others. Unprofessional, thick Indian accented guy hilariously self describing as calling from "Windows Microsoft". I'm a techie so knew immediately this was at best telemarketing at worst scamming. He could tell by the tone of my response that I wasn't fooled and sort of snorted and hung up.Next time I'll pretend to be a novice and see what he tries to do.
Received a call from this number today. A woman with a heavy Indian accent tried to scam me with the same story as many above...Windows problem! Because this is the second time they tried this scam on me, I immediately yelled at her and told her not to call again & that I was on the Do Not Call list. She actually had the nerve to tell me to "shut up". Even though I entered them in my Call Block feature in my phone, they just keep changing their number. Super frustrating!
The same guy just called me and said he was with Microsoft and that he was calling about an error I have been receiving. Wanted to know if I would cooperate with him to fix it. I am a software architect, clearly this guy is a scammer.
I received a call from "windows Microsoft" telling me they had received a message that my computer haddownloaded viruses, and he would help me get rid of them. He had an Indian accent. I said, "No thank you and hung up, then turned my computer off.
I too just got a phone call from a man with a HEAVY Indian accent, I could hardly understand him. He was telling me my computer was sending error messages and I told him I didn't know what he was talking about then he told me my voice was very sweet, asked how old I was and told me I was probably a very sexy lady. Needless to say I hung up.
