Have been calling throughout the day - as early as 7am and as late as 8:30pm. Phone rings a couple of times and then stops. Finally called back the number and received a recorded message saying to call back during their business hours, which in fact I was. I have no idea who's calling and why as no messages are left.
These people have been calling me endlessly since yesterday on my bf's sister's cell phone, which we use. They do not leave messages and as far as I know she does NOT have a Macy's card. These people are so freakin' annoying.
Got 5 calls today. No message. Did not answer. I do have a Macy's balance that was due two days ago.
I know it seems scammy, but as several people have mentioned, this is legit. I received several (missed) phone calls from this number and while they did not leave a voicemail, when they were finally able to get in touch with me, it was regarding an overdue balance on my Macy's account. They didn't ask for my account # or personal information, since they were the ones calling me. It was simply to alert me to an overdue balance.
By the way, they will keep calling you until they have successfully notified you of an overdue credit or whatever issue with your Macy's balance there is. If you're sick of getting the calls, just pick up and deal with it once. If you truly have no Macy's account balance, then try to figure out why they're calling you. I mean, it's possible someone opened one in your name and some other fraud (identity theft) is going on.
I've been getting nonstop calls from 513-573-8739, morning, noon and evening. They never leave a message. They never say anything when I answer. Very annoying and it made me google it, finding this page. I do owe money to one of my Macy's accounts. Macy's does split their accounts into a store account and an account for all other, though I don't think I've been able to use the other account for things like plane tickets, though I've tried. They do have a strange credit system. Well, I do owe them money. My necklace broke and a bought a new one from them.
I've been getting calls from this number repeatedly. I called back today and a woman answered. She said I have a balance due with Macys. It cannot be true as I am not using this card, and it is clear for the past year at least. She asked for my personal info, and I refused to give any information over the phone. I asked her to send me a written request. You can't be too careful these days.

I called the Chase number on the back of my card and they said they had NOT called me, said it was scammers. I had two calls on my machine asking me to call them back.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
