I received call twice just a while ago. I answered both times but nobody spoke from other end. They probably testing if anybody answer the phone. If they call again and somebody try to impose of something, i know what to tell them.
Just got a call but did not leave message. Since it is a long weekend i suspect it may be a scam.
I just got a call from this number on the home phone and no message was left, immediately they called my cell and left no message.
scam got a call from 901-214-2999 claimed to be the irs but would not leave a message. the irs is not afraid to leave messages. also it has been my experience that the irs always communicates via the united postal service.
scam just got a call from 901-214-2999. they did not leave a message. but when i called back the recording claimed they were the irs. usually the irs will answer, or have an extensive call center giving you options to reach various extensions for various departments.
Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but this is, in fact, a legitimate IRS number.I got a call from this number and it left voicemail. So I googled it and found this thread. I was ready to blow it off as a scam, but I listened to the message, and it was an IRS agent who I know, personally, through work. The number that he left in the message was to his cell phone. Apparently, their office calls go out through a trunked system. Now, anyone could spoof that number and maybe some of those above got calls from people spoofing the number. But I assure you, the number is the IRS main trunk for outgoing calls.
This is the IRS. I have an issue and was waiting for a callback. It came from this number along with a very detailed message regarding my issue.
Good post, anon. It amazes me how many people actually believe this is the IRS calling them. That's why these scams are often successfuly.
Sorry, Charlie..., IRS NEVER makes initial contacts by phone. All initial contacts are made through letters from the IRS. Perhaps you and your "IRS friend" are the ones making these calls. By the way, I just blocked your number. Come and arrest me now! Lol...

Saying postal redelivery unit when called. What?
I didn't accept the call and they did not leave any voice message
I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare.
Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
said dish was updating receivers and needed for us to turn on dish for 2 minutes to do updates. told them to call back tomorrow.
