302 731 1166 is a Bank Of America fraud dept phone number , B of A had just caught a $150 charge not made by me and called me from this number. It helps if information on these sights is accurate and not guess work. No offence intended.
This is the B of A fraud dept. i got a call and an email from them about a irregular activity. I immediately called the number from the email and got everything cleared.
This is legitimate! When you get a call from this number; call the number on the back of your card immediately! Caller id'd this number; it was under card services; suspicious so called number on the backof my card, while on hold BofA fraud dept called on a different number....they were calling to confirmif two recent charges were mine or not (they quickly detailed the charges which I had in fact made thenight before). I later called the fraud dept (i'd on phone)and they did confirm that this is a legitimate customer service number. If you ever get a call that is suspicious, go online* check it out, call the number you know is legitimate: the one on the back of the card! If it is different from the initial contact number ASKthem if it is a fraudulent number or not! Never give out personal info with initial contact! If they are legitimate, they will have a number you can call back on after verifying it first. *I mentioned to check it outfirst online so if it is for the most part posted as a fraudulent one it's helpful to the company to have thisinformation. When it comes to your credit avoid online posts that say it's a scam! Call BofA directly(again back of your card!) to make sure! Better safe than sorry!
I got 2 missed calls from this number. Then later during the day I got call a call from a blocked number, the lady who spoke said she was calling from BOA and is calling to verify some recent big purchases I made. After seeing these posts I called BOA and they verified that everything was ok and they made the earlier call. Thanks for all the posts.
For the argument of whether its fake or not, both might be true. I've received a legit call, but it looks like some people are getting scam calls as well. The system is automated from this number, so if someone, especially sounding like they barely speak English, starts speaking, it's probably a red flag. If you don't have Bank of America, the same applies. What people don't seem to understand is that the number showing on the caller ID can be faked. So even if it shows a legit number on your caller ID, there might be a scam group out there taking advantage of that. If you're cautious, hang up and call them up yourself or they will email you with the same issue.
just got a call from this number too. they hung up. then checked this site and called the number posted by "caution tale" above 1-800-383-0618. This is bank of america credit card services. They found out that one of my credit cards had an unusual charge of $344.89 in the middle of the night from a company in California. They are now going through the fraud process. I just wish they would leave messages on the answering machine instead of hanging up.
That is Bank of America. This is the second time they have called to ask if I was using the card. One time it was someone using my number to try and have a leather jacket sent to Bankok and they blocked the attempt. Yesterday the Bank called and inquired about a legit charge that had a glitch. I'm glad the Bank is so vigilant.
This is Bank of America. I just received a phone call from them. They are alerting you as to a possible fradulent charge on your account. If you received this number, I would recommend not trusting anything on this site, and call Bank of America back directly BEFORE giving any information out to this number (or any other person that initiates contact with you).
You are exactly right. I got a call this morning. I would not talk to them. Then I called Bank of America and they confirmed that it was they who called. If this happens to you again, just call your credit card number andcheck it out. It is better to be safe instead of sorry and it is better to call your credit card immediately to make sure everything is okay.
I got a call from this number. I did not respond. Instead, I called BoA customer service # on back of my Mastercharge card, was transferred to the fraud dept. It screened me with various questions. Said they were concerned about a transaction I made earlier today. I said it was OK, and asked why they were concerned. They said something must have went wrong with the magnetic strip on my card when I did my transaction. I confirmed the transaction. Asked for all my unpaid transactions. They detailed them. I said they were all ok (except for one $1 charge, which I ignored). They would not say anything one way or another about the call I originally got that triggered me to come here in the first place. They thanked me for having been a customer since 1992.
