Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, cease all phone communications with me about this alleged debt. Receipt of this letter is officially being time stamped via Certified Mail. I will pursue each subsequent phone call from your office with a $1,000 per incident penalty for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations.

apparently this is Portoflio recovery one of their many phone numbers.....never leaves a message just hangs up....they have used other phones also (throw away ones) and these people are trying to colllect 10 year old debt that they bought for pennies on the dollars.....harassment and illegal......cell phone that is only a couple of years old.....need to stop have called in the past 5 months on this number and they are in violation of the the fair debt collection practice....quit callling and hanging up and just quit callling....

They call from blocked numbers too.. They called me 2-3 times every day for over 10 months on my cell. I had hundreds and hundreds of call logs from them!

Did a little research on this. If you are in a two-party consent state, then your permission is required regardless of whether or not the caller is in your state or not. And if they are telling you, then obviously they are calling from a two-party state or are mentally retarded.

Select Portfolio Servicing? I got a call from 620-860-2755. And then read the posts here... It has the word, "Portfolio," in it and it worries me that it might be the same company.. Does anyone know? Please let me know. Thnx

I got a call from this number. When I answered, the caller promptly hung up. I would have blown it off as a wrong number except that I've gotten the same before.I don't think I owe anyone money, so the calls being in regards to a debt would be unlikely. If I do owe something, it would be nice if whomever is calling would actually speak to me.
