Just got a call - no idea what they are calling about and frankly, I don't care! :)

I don't know who this is nor do I give a crap. Any phone call received by my phone after 9pm is NOT answered unless I know who it is. If this is a collection agency, let me explain the facts. YOU DO NOT CALL AFTER 9pm...If you call my number again, I will make your life very difficult. If you think I owe you money, then send me a letter. Phone calls will get you NO WHERE. To make matters worse, this is probably a collection agency looking for money that my dead mother owed them. Calling me won't get you any money, she didn't leave me any.

They r calling about a debit over 6 yrs old. The statues of limitations in Iowa is 6 yrs. They will get nothing from me.

Got a call from this number, they always ask for 'David Mundez' which i am not. Tell them to not call back but do anyway at 8 in the morning and wake me up :|

The thing to do is fax them a cease and desist letter. Be sure to also send a copy of the letter via certified mail. Send a copy of the letter to the Federal Communications Commission and the Attorney General's Office from the state the debt collector is calling from. Make sure all letters are sent via certified mail. The more information we can provide the FCC and Attorney General's office, the more we can help shut down these companies. If they leave voicemails, transfer them onto a cassette or CD, whichever you have access to. Write down, word per word, time and day of call. Enclose the CD and letter with the cease and desist letter to the FCC and Attorney General's Office. Do Not Send a Copy of the voicemail recordings or copy of the voicemail transcript to the Debt collection agency. They aren't really calling from every state. They are using a PBX that generates phone numbers. If you keep checking the numbers they call from like I have, you'll come across posts here that will have a big list of numbers they call from you can add into your phone to block. They change every so often
