Cellphone users: Since there is an actual number showing up on caller-ID, put the number in the contact list and assign it a Silent/No Ring ringtone. This way you won't be hassled to answer the phone everytime. You'll have to delete the voicemails, but it is something I do with delight. Don't let yourself get a single second of stress over it. Just ignore them. They'll eventually give up because it won't be cost-effective to keep trying.

Don't ever call my phone again. You won't get an answer. You won't get a response. You won't get a dime! And, hopefully I will be the only one that gets any satisfaction out of reporting you to any kind of SCAM report! Which is what I plan to do next!

These people called about some scam about collecting a debt....they couldn't tell me who the debt was even with!!! I have great credit so don't be fooled!!!! They aparently bought some extremely OLD debts from years ago and are calling people trying to get people convinced to call them--! It is a scam to try and get money out of people.

My mother has been getting calls and letter from these people. Unfortunatelym she has given them her account numbers and other info. I am so glad that I checked this site out. They have managed to swindle her out of $125.00 so far. I called them today, did not know they were scammers, but they swear she owes a debt of $1,633.84 and wanted to settle for $539.16. When I insisted that they not call her anymore and try to make smaller payments, they threatened her with wire fraud transfer. So thanks for the information. She will no longer be sending them anymore money.

I am in a loss for words that these people think that it is ok to harass me. I have the same number (631) 247-9920. Today was the first day they called. Thanks for the info everyone! I know what to do. I have always been good about my debts, and these people are calling about a debt that was paid from 3 years ago. When I called Cheryl, they didn't give me any info about my account. I told them I was not going to pay a debt I have dealt with and taken cared of. I am going to get an attorney.

this number has called me several times and it is a recorded message that states my name and they have recently acquired a delinquent debt but they give you no other details, I won't call them back and am going to block their number from calling me.

help They are calling at 530 am and is call someone who dont live in my home 3 to 4 calls a day i even spoke to them and i reported them telemarketer of debt collector? please stop calling me at 530 am and dont call no more thanks

IF 631-247-9920 Calls you Do not pay them money. I called a debt firm, and they told me this was a scam. I called 631-247-9920 and told them that I spoke with my attorney, did not owe them any money, that I knew this was a scam, and if they continued to harass me I would take legal action. They promptly removed me from there list

They keep calling my business line, saying "call this number back for important tax info". Seems to be a call center. Requested my number be taken off the call list, she said I would not receive any more calls, and that reporting it would absolutely not do anything. The number they said to call back was 888-662-1778.

HOW DO YOU MAKE IT STOP! Is there a agency we can report this to?
