Same here as Ancient Brit.CreditSmart, recently purchased my debt, blah blah blah. No (new) blemishes on my report, so not worried, but if they keep calling I'll report 'em.

This is a scam i guess. they called me and left a voicemail.. They said I had WON or was able to PARTICIPATE in something GREAT. They are just trying to trick me to call them back, so that they can collect some sort of debt.

They call here 2 or 3 times a day, there is no one here by that name, Have told them to quit calling, no results

hi. today is 3-10-2012 entire family recently has been getting calls from these idiots. My sisterinlaw told me they called her phone asking for my husband as well as my other sisterinlaw, theyve called my sisterinlaws boyfriends cell asking for my husband& my sisterinlaw. and theyve called ANOTHER sisterinlaw asking for herself and my husband and even a FAMILY FRIEND that just coincidentally shares our same last name but is not related to us!! i live in WA. My sisterinlaw asked them who they were collecting a debt for but they cant seem to provide her that info! they got mad and hung up on her...they tried telling her she owed a debt and threatend her with legal action and jail time if she didnt pay right then over the phone...and the dumb [***] even called her back trying the stimulus scam as well!!! i am the one in my family they come to for help with paperwork and anything professional or legal because i am good at these things. So i researched the company names they were calling under "cs processing and credit care" from 888 number and 631 number. I found lots of websites stating that these people are frauds NOT to give them any info and to file a non emergency police report about them if you hear from them. I called them back and told them i know theyre a fraudulent company attempting to gain personal info and or money from us by using their scams and i told them they can take anyone with our last name and get rid of our numbers and to stop calling us or i would persue legal action and that i would call the police. She said i could go ahead and call the cops...so i went on our local sheriffs website and filed a non emergency complaint of harrassment,attempted fraud and possible identity theft attempt gave a list of all the victims names in the report....i havent heard from them since its been a full day and i let all my family know not to give them any info...I also found a website with a NY lawyer taking complaints from people about this scam. I found it when i researched credit care complaints.if they call you and know your entire family i recommend changing your numbers filing a complaint with your local police station and with the police station in the area code theyre calling from and warning your banks to keep an eye out for fraud activity in your bank accounts or maybe even changing your bank account numbers. On monday im calling the social security department to find out what i can do to protect mine&my families social security numbers. These people have my entire familys names and numbers, a boyfriends number and even a family friends number, who knows what else they have. I know im not taking any chances im going to do all i can to protect my bank accounts and social security number.

Same thing, about 10 minutes ago. The [insert-name-here] name is not even me or anyone I've heard of. They call twice a day. Annoying.

the woman would not give me their address to mail them a letter demanding they stop calling my cellphone. i said, dont you know where you work? she said, thats not who owns us. i said, they can send the mail on. she hung up. so i called back, got the switchboard, found out they are credit smart llc, 273 walt whitman rd #310, huntington sta ny 11746, and sent my letter. i am pretty sure this is a 9 year old divorce-based debt that has been purchased for the zillionth time....
